At Microsoft's E3 press conference, the popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was announced for the Xbox One and the new system, the Xbox One X. Watching the trailer above, you can see that it opens with the text "Xbox One console launch exclusive". This means that upon its console launch, you'll only find it on the Xbox One family of systems - but it'll be coming to the PS4 eventually. To further back this up, game producer Chang-han Kim has already stated that a PS4 version is very much on the cards.
So although we may be waiting a while, rest assured PS4 players: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming to Sony's system. One day.

"Xbox one console launch exclusive" gotta love that MS PR wording. At least Sony's is shorter and punchy "First on PS4" "Console debut" "Console exclusive" etc.
Just use the xbox crowd to play test the game until its 'ready' to be sold as a proper game...
The only reason this is going to Xbox first is because Xbox does early access and Sony doesn't imo. I always assumed it would come to Xbox first for that reason. As soon as it's done, I think you'll see it everywhere.
Sweet, I was worried for a second. I watch a few mins of this on twitch most nights, will be interesting to see how far it comes before console launch
@DrClayman Sony does early access, but they're very, very selective. The only game I can really think of that has done it is Paragon.
@RedMageLanakyn Nice one, totally missed that! I'm sure they've said in the past they don't do it, but that's just classic Sony for you. Just like no competitive game will have higher framerate on the pro and Battlefield 1 runs at about 10-15 fps higher
@DrClayman Does it really? That's crazy, yet fully expected. I have BF1 on PS4, and it tanks when action gets heavy, i can see how the PS4 Pro would hold up a better capped framerate. But yeah, they did say no framerate differences.....10-15 is a pretty big percentage of extra fps.
@RedMageLanakyn yeah, pretty sure that was the difference, you should look it up just to be sure, Digital Foundry did a comparison video close to the game's launch.
@DrClayman So are you saying Sony should tell DICE/EA to drop PS4 Pro from 60fps just because the base PS4 is targeting 60fps?
@DrClayman
I'm curious to see the gameplay differences between the Xbox One and the Xbox One X. I have a feeling that early XO adopters just got the middle finger.
@banacheck Not at all, I would just like some consistency. Don't make a claim like that when it's clearly not enforced. Personally, I think each platform should be used to their full potential, it's not any different from PC really, the better your rig is, the better you'll run the game, whether it's pvp or pve.
I think Black Desert and Conan Exiles will also come first to Xbox One from what I've heard.
Its a good game and looked decent on the new xbox console. To be honest better than on my PC.
