One of Bethesda's most beloved games, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is heading to PlayStation VR. Take a look at the reveal trailer above. This is great news for those looking for bigger, more meaningful games on Sony's headset. What's more, it'll be available this November.

Thank you! I couldn't find a release date anywhere and was worried it would be next fall or something. Wow! This completely caught me off guard and I'm stoked.
You know, I think I will.. I was always a big Elder Scrolls fan, and have played this on my X360, PS3, PC and PS4. I thought it was cool on my PC with a 3d monitor, so I think would really like to be "living in" Skyrim for awhile. You know, this game is proving to be pretty versatile after all. First it appears on the handheld Switch and now on a 120Hz PSVR headset. Who knew!? My only concern is that I am still not immune to motion sickness from a lot of free-moving. I assume I just need to get used to it... I have only had the PSVR for a little over a month.
If VR didn't make me feel like vomiting my guts all over the floor and I wasn't so horrified by the ugly Skyrim spiders and owned a PSVR I would get this.
Oh well, back to the PC version where they mod all the spiders with T-posed bears.
@Neolit It would have to be Fallout 3/NV VR.. Fallout 4 is so frankensteined, that it still drops frames in a couple of spots on my Pro! No way could it do 60/120fps at 1080p on an orig PS4.
@Deadlyblack LOL.. I am guessing you would not like Farpoints spiders eh?
@Party_Cannon No way I'll play it. Not with giant spiders and especially in VR. I have a hard time playing Twilight Princess because of the Skulltulas.
I want a PSVR so badly now...
Hang out in one of the taverns, listening to a guy playing the lute, watching the snow fall through the window while sitting next to a fire? Sure, Im down with that.
Delightful that many "real" VR games were announced.
Time to get a PS VR soon.
Probably my favorite announcement. Came out of nowhere. Only issue is I don't like playing VR for more than 90mins a day, so this would literally take me a year to beat.
With this and Doom my VR is going to be getting a lot of use later this year, curious to see what controllers they'll be supporting
1. What will it encompass?
2. Is it includes in the original PS4 release of need to be bought separately?
Holy Amazing! But i dont have $600-$700 to spend on a psvr 😭
I am excited as someone that has never played VR but I was already looking to get this on Switch as a portable title. So, hmm, Portable or Virtual Reality? Tough choice. However games like these are what VR needs right now.
@Neolit I also prefer Fallout over Elder Scrolls (if I understood what you meant correctly?). However, I'm definitely interested in this, but I wonder if it's the whole Skyrim game? And if so, this has me hopeful for Fallout 4 VR coming to PSVR.
It always seemed to be an obvious choice when I was thinking about it. I haven't played Skyrim but now I might get it and the VR for it. Playing as some kind of mage with the Move controllers dishing out spells sounds amazing.
Amazing reveal! Quite tempted to get PSVR when it dips to £200 mark. A few meaty titles to jump into now. Much better support and taken more seriously than PS move. Skyrim, doom, resident evil, final fantasy, EVE... and Imax cinema feel for normal tv and movies! Xmas... haha... this xmas maybe 😍 just get FIFA, COD/battlefield and GTA behind VR and gaming will be elevated to next level!!! Now can next gen VR headsets be made clear, except for screen and have some kind of anti-light layer inside the headset to block out external distractions? Makes it more airy and more fashionable!!
Okay PSVR is looking like a purchase now.
I really don't get why people like this game so much. I played it on a free weekend on steam and found terrible boring. Combat is dull and repetitive, just block, swing, block ,swing. Leveling seemed to only give you bigger states without unlocking special abilities. And when you finally do get a special ability with the shout it feels about as powerful as attacking you enemies with the gust from a paper fan.
@jacobia Not only is it the whole game but it also includes the DLC.
Must mean fallout will be coming soon. Super stoked !Im curious about the controls tho.
