Well, there's only one worthwhile story to extract from the latest Japanese sales charts. Soaring straight to the top of the software list, Tekken 7 shifted 58,736 copies on PlayStation 4 during its debut. Certainly not an amount worth shouting about, but it's worth remembering that the series has traditionally moved more units in Western territories. It'll be interesting to see how fast that number shrinks over the coming weeks.
On the hardware side of things, Sony's current-gen console continues to sit around the 20,000 mark. Consoles aren't having the best of times in the Land of the Rising Sun - even the recently released Nintendo Switch appears to be falling away bit by bit, although that could have something to do with stock shortages. Either way, we're looking at a very quiet period right now. Hopefully the impending release of Dragon Quest XI shakes things up a little.

I'm torn between "Stuck in a rut" and "Deja vu all over again".
Does Japan care that it's E3 next week? That's the thing that keeps me going when things get slow in the spring. E3.
Well ARMS wont exactly sell much so get ready to announce how you beat a crap new IP in sales!
Is this the first time ps4 and ps4pro combined sales beat the switch? Or have I just not noticed before.
Or as it turns out I can't add up when I'm on the move.
Tekken puns to a whole new level.
A lot of evergreens here. Making the top 10 with less than 5,000 units is kinda sad.
@sinalefa It's the quiet before the oncoming summer storm.
