While we think the criticisms pointed at PlayStation Plus are a little harsh, there can be no denying that the service isn’t quite firing on all cylinders like it was during the previous generation. In our humble opinion, the service has become a victim of its own success, with publishers reluctant to giveaway titles that still have a shelf-life (no matter how short) to over 25 million members.
That said, it’s still very much on fire in Asia – presumably where there are less subscribers. Sony’s celebrating the service’s seventh anniversary overseas this month, and it’s giving away seven PS4 games, including Killing Floor 2, The Walking Dead: Season One, and Just Cause 3. Members will also get a Toro theme for their troubles.
Moreover, if locals purchase a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership between 1st June and 14th June from the PlayStation Store, they’ll score an additional two months for free. Alternatively, from 5th June onwards, participating retailers will be giving away themed tote bags with annual renewal vouchers while stocks last. Yeah, we’re not jelly in the slightest.

I guess I am going to have to move to Asia. I will miss my family and friends but it makes financial sense in the long term for a few extra games and a tote bag.
I want that Toro theme.
I hear in the golden wonderland of Asian PS+ they get Knack for free whenever they want.
@get2sammyb Since its in Asia is it available for India as well.
@Cassetticons The legend is but a whisper on the wind, so fragile that common folk dare not utter it lest it break and be lost to the timeless void.
I just want less puzzle games.
@Bingoboyop I honestly don't know. I want to say India falls under SIEE. This seems to be Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.
@kyleforrester87 Aye, but some know no fear. They who have completed every Treasure schmup on a single credit, those who beat all Souls games with a Donkey Konga bongo set, they... who say their greatest joy was Knack's platinum...
@Cassetticons Quiet now. The darkness has its spies everywhere.
@get2sammyb oh if true sucks, those lucky people.
I'm going to be an absolute pig and say "does she come with the bag?" before someone else does.
@ShogunRok Sexist pig.
There's always going to be another place that's going to get better goods than the rest of us. Funny thing is, Europe usually gets the cooler Collector's Editions.
Psplus is cheaper in asia (Indonesia), about $29 for a 1 year psplus subs. The free game is better this year but the psn discount is worse compared to us psn. Also not all games available on psn asia.
Hey I need a new grocery bag, hook me up Sony.
Just cause 3 on my wish list!
@ShogunRok lol she was displayed prominently in this article!
#ShogunRokIsSexist
I can see it now...
you can also get danganronpa 1+2 for free when you purchase a 12 month membership right now
"Be grateful for these indie games about depressed dinosaurs eating ice cream"
I knew there was better out there.
Awww man. I'm lucky if I get a game I don't already own! If I didn't play online as much I wouldn't even subscribe to PS Plus, as I already sub to monthly game bundle and it is a million times better! I wish there was a cheaper option for people that don't want the free games...
Yeah but the EU gets those amazing flash sales! nope, wait, that's the US. Never mind.
