Many were disappointed by the lack of new announcements at Sony’s E3 2017 press conference this week, but obviously the platform holder still has lots of projects in development that we don’t know about. And speaking with website Jagat Review, Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has reassured fans that we’ll be learning all about them later this year.
“There are things we have held [back],” Yoshida laughed. “We chose not to show those at E3 2017, but there will be some more news coming out from our teams later this year. No question.” We’ll see you all at PlayStation Experience 2017 in a few months, then, yeah?

Infamous Third Son!
Well, that figures. MS gave Sony little reason to put effort into this E3. I'm fine with it if it means a better PlayStation Experience. That event has become a bigger deal to me than E3 anyway.
Sly cooper 1-3 ps2 to ps4
Onimusha 1-3 ps2 to ps4 or hd collection
Ico ps4 remastered
Devil may hd collection ps4
Silent hill hd collection ps4
After the Crash trilogy was revealed at last year's PSX, I'm more hyped for what Sony will show us at PSX more than E3.
Small correction, Jagat Review isn't European website.
Goes back to what I said regarding E3. I really think Sony need to keep their reveals back until closer to launch so we don't get to see the same games year on year. 1-2 long range games are OK but I want to see the games I can be playing in the next year with dates - maybe not specific dates but a general date - like month or even 'quarter' they are targeting.
They must have a Sucker-Punch project to announce soon - its been 3yrs+ now and I know a lot hoped to see From Software too...
Are Sony skipping Gamescom? I know they will have a presence there...
I'd like to see infamous with Cole returning.
Also would like to see some sort of spyro or croc redo.
Still keeping my expectations reasonable for PSX
What ever happened to DeepDown? lol... I have no issues with the games Sony has lined up or how powerful the PS4 Pro is, I just don't agree with their current strategy 100%.
@unionjack3rd Hell yes, An InFamous 3 with Cole resurrected! I really liked Second Son, but I felt it missed the drama of the first 2 with Cole....all that time travel stuff and the Beast! Such good games!
I'm pretty sure that Sucker Punch are working on a new IP, so I don't think we're going back to the world of InFamous......yet 🙏
Clever strategy by Sony Playstation. Knowing they have a good lead over MS and Nin' their modest presence dampens the resonance of E3 in the gaming consciousness and at the same time hypes up Sony's own Annual Event.
Disney may have done the same thing by witholding KH3 and other full blown major announcements from E3 and pumping their own circus.
@BAMozzy
Couldn't agree more, so much has been said this year about showing games far ahead of its time. The only way to fix this was 1 year to show the same again so we can have them reset their calendar. So future E3 games aren't so far off
I think it's telling that Sony announced the PSX date just before the conference, they might well taking a bigger approach with PSX now. Also some Japanese centric games might be held till TGS to compete with Switch.
Oh crap, they didn't like the angry white men killing things, or our PS4 owners only online laws, make some promises and get to work!
If MS had announced a price of $399 for the X1X, then I think we would have seen more from Sony. As it is, I'm sure Sony didn't feel "threatened" by anything MS showed. Tokyo Game Show and PSX should have some surprises.
December 2017, I've just put me tree up and opened a beer. Sony announce Bloodborne 2. Bells jingle. It begins to snow. I run downstairs beaming to my fiance, hold her tightly. She knows what I'm about to say. I've waited, I've hoped, I've believed.
As we embrace, I whisper to her as the festive scene unfolds...
"Word up son".
I think internally Sony probably want PSX to be the biggest showcase of the year, so it makes sense holding off the big guns.
Should have shown some of the new Until Dawn devs game and maybe Ni No Kuni, just my opinion.
So like Nintendo, they're shifting focus on to their own events rather than E3. E3 isn't as important or relevant as it once was.
that infamous screenshots is legendary.long live the ps3.best console ever
i found the protagonist of infamous second son to rather dislikeable that i only played it for a couple of hours.. having cole and zeke(!) back would be preferable, but personally i really hope sucker punch is working on something removed from the infamous games.
@XtemmA that's from indonesia
Just as i though before sammy, just as i though. Sony still have big guns for their upcoming stage on tgs and psx. Juuussst be patient my friend
Yessss! Now this is what we're waiting for. Playstation Experience> Sony E3!
Maybe even Tokyo Game Show. That's in September, isn't it?
I want okami and ni no kuni remaster like wipeout collection, with updated texture and 4k 60 fps
I said it immediately after the MS presser finished...Sony knew what was happening and held back.
I'm hoping they talk about the re-release of the Jak and Daxter series.
Psx 2017 is coming boiiiiiis.............in six months daaayuuum you Sony for playing with my heart
Well I mean if they said "that's all we got folks" people would react poorly.
Well I mean if they said "that's all we got folks" people would react poorly.
@jacobia infamous 1 was to me the perfect game. Good traversal mechanics, tone, enemies, broken city, catastrophic event to set it off, the choice of being good or evil. And that ending. The whole game was just a build up and it worked amazingly. I dont think I will ever quite have that feeling from a game again...I hope I'm wrong... I loved all the infamous games but the first one to me was a 10/10. Ahh to get the prince of lightning back...
@Splints Absolutely, awesome games. I remember that InFamous and Prototype were released around the same time and the understandable comparisons they drew to each other. I played Prototype for a bit, but, unlike Cole's plight, I didn't feel any empathy or attachment to Prototype's protagonist at all and found what I played to pretty boring and mindless. And remember when InFamous 2 was in the press before it's release and a new design for Cole was revealed? Bleh, so glad Sucker Punch didn't go with that design. They changed Cole up a bit, though, but it still felt like the same guy. I've still got my PS3 and disc copies of both InFamous games....feeling the need to replay them 😎
They probably saw how poor Microsoft's show was and thought we don't have to show anything new Exclusives wise
@Nesstark88 You have to ask that at Capcom i guess it is their IP.
