PlayStation VR has already enabled you to don the cowl, so why not let you pop on Spider-Man's spandex, too? Sony Pictures Virtual Reality is bringing a unique Spider-Man: Homecoming VR experience to the futuristic facemask for free starting 30th June. The digital download will allow you to suit up as Spidey and seemingly engage in a series of simplistic web-slinging minigames.
Given the non-existent price point, we’re definitely looking forward to taking this for a spin, even though our expectations are obviously appropriately calibrated – we’re not expecting an Earth shattering experience by any stretch of the imagination. A fun little timewaster should justify the bandwidth expenditure, though – and get us in the mood for the movie.

It's amazing how well he did that presentation like 1 of those virtual reality amusement park ride videos you watch while waiting on line.
Didn't see much swinging in the vid, that's the part we really all want to do, swing. And maybe wall crawl, but swing mostly.
Awesome! I've been seeing this but I assumed there would be a price tag. Even if it's not much at all I'll definitely be downloading. Thanks
I'd prefer a paid experience which allows free form web slinging. Hopefully some day!
I suspect it'll be a free short game just to whet people's appetite and test the ground for a fuller version in the future - As I'm sure Insomniac will be up all night analysing user behaviour and various data sets to see what people do - how often and for how long, etc etc
Excelsior!
PS4, FOR THE PLAYERS
@rjejr Great idea, could always invite some people round and with a couple of headsets we'd have a sticky swingers party
Best news I've seen today on the world wide WEB.
Not sure what the current install base is but glad to see more and more companies use it as a viable entertainment platform. I watched a bit of the champions league final in vr, and the NBA vr games are the best example out there of live events even including the news, although for me the best use of it is the VR roller coaster at Alton Towers; 'immersive' doesn't do it justice.
The fact that they haven't charged for this experience is ridiculous...especially if you can free swing around a small section of NYC!
With great power comes a great massive electrical bill.
