Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be big business for Sony this summer, so it’s no surprise to see it pouring company-wide energy into the upcoming cinematic release. In addition to a new scene from the movie being posted exclusively to the PlayStation Store, the company’s also added a free virtual reality experience to the plaza.
Clocking in at only five minutes it’s not going to hold your attention for too long, but it includes a handful of rooftop shooting galleries and a conflict with the Vulture atop a crane. The sense of vertigo is pretty good during the latter part of the demo, but it’ll definitely leave you wanting more. Check out a full playthrough embedded above.
Have you tried this yet? Would you play a full-length Spider-Man game in virtual reality? Thwip your thoughts into the comments section below.

Yes....hell yes! Give me a full game with move support.
Can't find it in the store yet. Tuesday maybe?
@glassmusic Have you tried searching? Which region are you in?
@get2sammyb United States. I've tried searching in the web store as well as the app on my PS4. Sometimes there's a delay between regions so I'll check again this evening.
@glassmusic Yeah, probably go up tonight your time.
@get2sammyb It's now live!
For anyone in the States:

This was great fun and I'd definitely be up for a full game, it seems weird they've come up with such a robust control scheme just for it to be 5 minutes long. Great sense of heights towards the end and that last swing just made me want to play more
Disappointed!! Theres a tutorial ... then, having learned the controls, u dont get to do anything with them!! The sense of height on the crane gave me a surprising sensation of vertigo. 5 mins more mightve been nice. The aiming really is appalling though. Crosshairs wouldve been preferable to the camera-fuzzing thing that happens in this demo!!
