With Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time due to launch at the end of the month in its native Japan, Square Enix is keen on getting some gameplay footage out to the public. A recent livestream showed a little more of the role-playing title in action, guiding us through a lush location full of monsters.
The PlayStation 4 gameplay starts at around 46 minutes into the video that we've embedded above, and lasts for about ten minutes. As we've come to expect, the release is looking great, and you can bet on seeing even more of it as we edge closer to its aforementioned Japanese launch date.

Can't wait for it to come out here. FFXV was such a bitter disappointment (it's actually got more disappointing with time; when I posted about it on here a while ago, I was still vaguely postitive about it).
It looks great. Everything I notice about it seems cool. My main worry is just that the areas will be more cramped and confined rather than larger open spaces. I'm not saying I want some big empty areas just for the sake of it (hello again FFXV) but more a sense that this is a natural world we're exploring rather than tiny little zones that are basically roofless dungeons. Basically, just give me current gen DQVIII and I'll love it.
I want those slime and mummy plushies, my dog would love them.
I need this game
