Killzone: Shadow Fall director and Guerrilla Games veteran Steven ter Heide has departed the Dutch developer after 12 years. In addition to leading production on the PlayStation 4 launch title, ter Heide also recently worked on both Horizon: Zero Dawn and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, so he’s got quite the portfolio.
It seems that the departure is purely down to personal ambition; in his leaving tweet, ter Heide talks about a “big adventure” and a desire to “start something new”. Our guess is that he’ll probably form his own indie studio, but we’ll need to wait to see his next move. Guerrilla Games has publicly thanked the veteran for his years of service, and wished him well.

That's a long run these days. Will be interesting to see what he does next.
I can't say Shadowfall was the 'best' game in the franchise and from a campaign perspective, really declined from 2. 3 had the better MP but overall Shadowfall wasn't bad.
Anyway, I wish him well...
Honestly it was a bit, please Sony bring back Resistance.
@BAMozzy The only game I played was Mercenary on the Vita, compared to that would Shadow Fall be worth picking up?
@Tasuki Its worth playing now its cheap but as a full price game, and coming after 2 and 3, its a bit disappointing. The campaign is good - not great and does utilise the DS4's 'new' features as they were then. Visually its a treat - typical GG. I don't know if the MP is still active though - its been nearly 4yrs now so you might not get too much mileage there.
Anyway, I would say give it a go.
@Tasuki - You can get Shadow Fall right now off PSN for less than $10 but that price ends the 11th I believe.
@Splat I saw that. That's on reason I am asking about it. Been on the fence with that one since the sale started.
