Days Gone had a big gameplay demo at Sony's E3 2017 press conference, but apparently, more of the zombie-ridden title was shown behind closed doors. Now, the publisher has saw fit to release footage from an alternate take of the mission that we saw on stage, complete with developer commentary.
Basically, the point of this video is to showcase how dynamic the PlayStation 4 exclusive can be. Different weather, random events, and your own playstyle all contribute to a virtual world that's going to offer up altered experiences for each player.
It's one of our most interesting looks into the game yet, but do you like what you see? Get on your bike in the comments section below.

Really looking forward to this and the hp lovcraft game
Hollie from PS Access was talking about how when she did it, it was snowing and there was no large herd of walkers to use etc, animals react differently as well, it's gonna make for interesting times for those who rely on Let's Plays to get through games!
"the publisher has saw fit"
Or have they seen fit?
@BowTiesAreCool Yeah weren't they saying that the walkers are stronger or weaker or something when it's cold?
The dynamic aspect makes me even more hyped for this game. 2017 been so great so far but 2018 seems even greater.
Wow, those guys really put some work into this.
What made me laugh is the near-impossibility of anyone producing a single walkthrough - what with all the interconnected variables that can send the game in all kinds of directions for each player/playthrough
I dont understand why there is a minimap when you allready have this supervision
Odds of this getting delayed?
@Dodoo Yeah, I watched an off-screen of this a while back (IGN maybe?) and Bend were saying they get stronger in the cold, and when it rains have reduced vision.
@PaperyWhiteBoy Cool thanks. Didn't realise about the reduced vision. I'll probably wait for it to rain before going into new areas then! lol
@Splat It would need a release date before it gets delayed first.
Looks great, I think this is early 2018 game, maybe after god of war.
Holy hell a unique feature.
@Dodoo Yep! Bring on the summer rains!
@Splat It's a 2018 title, so I doubt it.
This has gotta be easy mode cause the AI seems braindead! Looking forward to this, the concept is really interesting
Still my most anticipated PS exclusive...
Yeah I saw this at the time on YouTube, this game looks like it could be truly amazing and most importantly, unpredictable. Many open world games settle into a pattern of sign posting how the game is going to pan out so I'm hoping these dynamic events can change that.
I'll need to wait and see before I get excited. Games like this one have potential to be amazing, but they also have potential to be horrible.
@Dodoo yeah something like that, and the packs of zombie wolves love the rain. Loving the new approaches!
Cant wait for this game! But I feel like I'm having déjà vu...I thought I already saw this version on here a couple days after the public version was shown..
Hmm, I'm getting shades of how dynamic Watch Dogs was touted as being. I dunno. Totally just my opinion, of course, but the demo at E3 looked pretty damn boring. Like the gaming equivalent of Ready Salted. It's okay and all, but it's hard to get excited about. The dynamic stuff they've mentioned would elevate it but this sort of claim gets put out all the time, like the massive array of creatures you may find in No Man's Sky, and how they all interact with each other.
I used to be an "GTA Addic", but I grew tired of it. But this is now my most anticipated open gameworld game. Itching to boot up this for sure.
@JAMes-BroWWWn agreed, the game looks amazing!! Can't believe this is the same game from last year's e3!!
I've literally didn't care about this one after last year's E3. Just another zombie game, just this time they've got more of them on screen. Did I mention I hate zombie games? This year they won me over with those two presentations. Looks dynamic and interesting with a lot of freedom. Hope the story and characters can deliver.
@Themanhutch what hp lovecraft game?!?
@Gmork___
I think he means the new adventure/RPG Call of Cthulhu:

My most anticipated game, if you don't count TLOU2. Even then it's very close between them.
Hmm, hope it doesn't end up boring
@Gmork___ @Gmork___ @Themanhutch call of the cuthulhu
@AFCC So, realistic AI, right? I mean, Braindead AI makes sense for zombies. But I see where you're coming from and kind of agree.
These exclusives just keep getting better and better. Sony is killing it 👍🏻
@Totaldude911 I mean the enemies just stand there without shooting and all when the whole camp is alerted...
@AFCC I noticed that too. It's odd.
