There’ll be a PlayStation Experience in South East Asia in addition to the main event planned for Anaheim in December. Sony’s confirmed that a similar show will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5th August, where fans will get hands-on time with a variety of upcoming games.
Confirmed titles thus far include Detroit: Become Human, Everybody’s Golf, Far Cry 5, Gran Turismo Sport, Knack 2, and No Heroes Allowed! VR. More will be revealed in the coming days and weeks. There’ll also be panels and stage events, but don’t expect any major announcements.

Interesting choice. Anybody want to guess at why? There's always a reason. I'm not opposed to it, just wondering. I know it's the capital, but they could have gone w/ Jakarta or Singapore if they wanted someplace in the region w/ a little more name recognition. Are they or Microsoft opening a manufacturing plant nearby or something? Is it Japan playing nice w/ Malaysia? Gotta be a reason.
I wonder if this is where they are going to announce the release date for GT Sport😐
@rjejr As far as I know, the average Malaysian is more wealthy than the average Indonesian so I would have thought Kuala Lampur makes more sense than Jakarta. However I can concur that Singapore seems like the best choice for SE Asia.
@zimbogamer Gamescom for that, I reckon.

Well that's a good reason that never even occurred to me, go where the money is. It's a good plan. Thanks.
