Stop! Sony’s got this whole PlayStation Store sale thing down to an art now, and it’s extracting money from our wallets with reckless abandon. A new sale has gone live in Europe named Big in Japan, which focuses on all of the very best Eastern releases. And it’s just ridiculously large, spanning the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita.
There are just so many good offers here: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is £7.49, Yakuza 0 is a shade over £20 if you’re a PlayStation Plus member, The King of Fighters XIV is £15.99, and Resident Evil Revelations 2 is £6.99. We could go on and on – Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment is £4.99, for example.
And as mentioned, there’s an absolute wealth of Vita stuff, too. Practically every Final Fantasy game is on sale, while Dragon Quest Builders is £11.99 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is £5.79. It’s ridiculous: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is £9.79, while the likes of Monster Monpiece is £3.99. Some of these games are 80 per cent off.
You can browse the full list of savings through here, but do let us know what you’ve blown all of your cash on in the comments section below. The offers will end on 19th July, so you've got a bit of time to decide. Crazy times, readers!

This is just cruel.
I had £30 in my own wallet a couple of days ago but pre ordered Uncharted, so many good games in this.
I'm tempted by Street Fighter V, how is it these days?
@carlos82 It's a fantastic game but it's disappointing unless you plan to play online a lot.
All these sort of sales do is make me refuse to buy new games. if they drop in price 3 to 6 months after release, then end up under a tenner after a couple of years, I don't see the point of day one-ing anything any more.
What on Earth is Sony up to? It's one incredible sale after another.
@MrGawain I don't think there's a problem with that really. As long as you feel you're getting value, that's the main thing.
@nathanSF
I get the feeling they're trying to keep us interested in the PS4 brand during a relative dry spell for them when everyone is talking about Nintendo who have had recently/are soon getting some really big titles. If you spend your alotted cash on the PS4 store and have lots to play, you probably aren't going to invest in a Switch as well.
If you can find one, that is.
Good job I'm a massive weeb and already have most of these games.
I will take a look but I am on a tight budget till August. Unless the Bloodborne DLC is included because I am in the middle of that game right now.
@get2sammyb I saw it on go 8-bit and it looks great but I don't have the time to get good enough to enjoy online. With an arcade mode I'd be straight there and when you see what Mortal Kombat and Injustice offer to single players there's quite a gap
@MrGawain tbf psn has had a sale on pretty much every 1-2 weeks in Europe and 1 of 2 a month with the monthly flash sale in USA region.
It's nothing to counter what other companies are doing or to pull interest away from them, it's just Sony doing what it's done all year, even while they had a lot of releases out
@ShogunRok Same here! Been looking forward to this sale for months now & I hardly bought anything. Big in Japan is 4 years running now, I think.
I picked up Wild Arms 3 (£5) for PS4 & Trails of Cold Steel 2 (£12) for the vita.
The vita sale really is great.
@carlos82 aside from online battles you have character prologues for every character, cinematic story mode, two different sets of demonstrations and trials for every character to learn the basics of the game and combos, survival mode and 6 weekly missions to help with fight money ... I think there's enough now, not that it couldn't be better. Base gameplay is a gem and not hard to learn
I'll get Samurai Warriors 4 boys!!
I need to check the sale again to see if something else peaks my interest
For years I've kept the weeb at bay, but all these One Piece games so low is causing an itch. I haven't even read One Piece in 3 years!
Oh man, Dariusburst is cheap too...
I'm going to pick up most of the discounted PSOne Classics. Hopefully, they'll eventually be allowed on the PS4. If not, my dust collecting PS TV may just be my own personal PS One Classic Mini.
Feels like Sony is going overboard with the sales lately. Great times if you're a Sony fan and find a lot of games you want.
There are several games I could buy, but my backlog on the system is already pretty large: no reason to keep adding to it.
If only we could buy the cheaper versions on PS3 and stream them on PS4.
Woah! I hope they make these deal available for the US too, I haven't even grabbed the N. Snae Trilogy, Sony just doesn't allow us to save any money... a S$!T ton of new games are coming and yet still most of these games get THIS kind of discounts... would replay so many of them!
Got 3 vita games, since i only use my vita for remote play 😕 i have a huge backlog on the ps4 so i GOT to stop buying games for it for a while 😂 but i didn't had a huge backlog on the vita, that is until now... 😣
Yay I Completed the order 1886 last week... But now bought 3 rpgs on sale for Ps vita.. Now for the long slog. 😱
