Sonic Forces Finds the Reason with Cheesy Theme Tune

It wouldn’t be a new Sonic game without a spot of c*ck rock, and SEGA’s turned to Doug Robb from Hoobastank to sing Sonic Forces’ theme tune. Well, he’s not a perfect person, after all. The song, irritatingly named ‘Fist Bump’, is pretty on-brand – but it’s no Crush 40, is it?

Hoobastank, now there's a band I haven't thought about in a decade or more.

wow I like that song .sounds good that's a sonic the hedgehog song.it sounds better than any Taylor swift songs😀

It isn't Crush 40, but it's still good. Definitely a Sonic rock song.

I actually liked Hoobastank back in the day. I still listen to them sometimes. Hey, it's not Nickelback!

I never cared for the Sonic songs that had singing in them. My least favorite is City Escape from Adventure 2.

I do love the classic Sonic songs from back in the day.

I wasn't that fond of it at first listen but it's growing on me. Bring on the cheese.

I think it's pretty cool and a good fit for Sonic. It doesn't quite have the edge and attitude of Crush 40 but it's a good enough theme tune. Also, I like the drum fills in it.

who in their right mind names their band Hoobastank?!! Just awful....
Mind you Hoobastank have always been terrible (like a 3rd rate Incubus knock off) so having a song of theirs appear in a 3D Sonic game actually makes perfect sense!

Speaking as a person who is still having regular therapy sessions to get the Sonic R soundtrack out of his head, I will not be clicking on the above video.
