As the outrageous August release schedule nears, this may be your last opportunity to clear out your backlog before it multiplies all over again. Is there anything that you’re desperate to cross off your list this weekend? Or are already on top of things and ready to try something new? You know the drill!

I've been training dinosaurs and recruiting gunslingers in PlayStation VR mash-up Dino Frontier. I can't say much about it due to an embargo, but let's just say I'm looking forward to playing more.

I'm eager to finish off my Diablo III Necromancer run at some point this weekend, and I may play a bit more of Mad Max, which I bought on sale the other week. It's an okay open world game from what I can tell, but the horrible thing is that its post-apocalyptic vibes just make me want to play Fallout 4 instead. God help me if I end up back there again.

It's a busy, busy, busy weekend of gaming for me. Going to swing through Pyre and Tacoma as much as I can, particularly the former since SuperGiant Games is just about my favorite developer. I'll also be checking in on the final LawBreakers beta to see if it might be a great alternative to playing Overwatch with my friends.

I'm going to continue my descent into madness as I mistime jumps and botch boss fights in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Other than that, I'm thinking of playing through Sonics 1 through 3 in preparation for Sonic Mania in a couple of weeks. I'm basically reverting to a 7-year-old version of myself.

After being away from my PS4 for a week I have some major catching up to do. I will be checking out Doomfist in Overwatch, but also will be playing The Crew, Battlefield 1, and Diablo III.
What's on your gaming itinerary this weekend, then? Have you picked up something new recently, or will you be returning to an old favourite? Let us know in the comments section below.

Well after coming off two long games I am playing Super Metroid on my 2Ds xl pretty much all the spare moments I can. Anything else will be Thumper on VR and I may start Bastion.
Little bit of Crash, and some more of Final Fantasy 12. Maybe a bit of Everybodies Tennis too.
I've literally been dreaming about Sonic Mania recently so I just want it to come out already so I can get it out of my system!
Until Dawn, Mass Effect Andromeda demo and some VR hopefully, Resi 7, Thumper, Rush of Blood.
Mostly Talisman. I got it just to kill some time, but I loved it more than expected, so now I spend lots of hours with it each day.
Probably play some Paragon and Elite Dangerous I just brought The Witness so cant wait to get into that and will try to Finish off Crash 3 and attempt to platnium it also might start Wolfeinstien The Old Blood
This weekend, I have been mostly eating... Romance of the three kingdoms.

*Update: After several hours of play, I can report that I am beginning to hate this game & expansion and wish that I hadn't bought them both, lol.
It serves me right for trying to satisfy my strategy cravings, ahead of, and instead of, patiently waiting for my pre-order of Sudden Strike 4.
I'm going to learn by this mistake, via immediately downloading Starhammer: The Vanguard Prophecy.
Same as last weekend. More Final Fantasy XII. It's all-consuming!
Pyre. Another incredibly beautiful title from Supergiant and I'm loving it just as much as the previous 2. Other than that I'll no doubt play some more Marvel Heroes Omega and probably Final Fantasy 12. I'm determined to finish FF12 but I'm really not enjoying it. The story is mind numbingly dull and the only bit I've enjoyed at all is the odd bout of farming levels to make sure I can face roll through it.
Hopefully finish recording Crash 1 N.Sane so I can never touch that game again.
And Splatoon 2 of course.
PS4: NiOh, Fallout 4
PSVita: God Eater 2
I'm back to NiOh following the release of Defiant Honor. Going to try out the new weapons & clear some more missions on way of the strong.
Also started Fallout 4 earlier in the week. It's ok. Yet to be really grabbed by it. Think I'm suffering from open-world burnout, but at least it's better than Dragon Age: Inquisition!
On vita I'm on the final mission of arc 1 in God Eater 2. It's pretty fun & the story is really well paced, but this sure is a long game...70 more story missions to go...
I'm playing pyre on ps4, I hope the game doesn't get too hard later. Man it's nice to play games on tv again with ps4 pro, I've been playing switch whenever I have time, going back to ps4 pro on 4k tv after playing switch is a night and day difference, pyre is so beautiful, the game colour really pop on oled tv, and 4k is so crisp, it's fun just to play around on ps4 homescreen
On switch I've been playing splatoon 2, kamiko, and blaster master zero. It's interesting that from all the game I have, each have different favorite control for me. For blaster master and kamiko my favorite control is to use switch as a handheld, for splatoon I usually play on tv with gamepad, for mario kart 8 dx I use tablet mode with joycon in each hand.
I really recommended blaster master zero to people that like metroidvania games. When buying switch I have no intention to purchase blaster master zero since the metacritic review is just good, but not great (78), and from youtube video the gameplay looks not special. But since there's demo on switch I download it and I was hooked immediately! The tank controll is good, the level design is interesting with many small caves that contain upgraded part for the tank, and the level size is just right, not too small but no too big either. For the price of $10, it's a no brainer.
I think my next game for switch is wonderboy dragontrap since it has no platinum & no cross-buy on ps4, or mighty gunvolt burst. And I still have to buy uncharted lost legacy and undertale on ps4.
After completing horizon last weekend, I'm going to give so muliplayer games a go as I'll soon loose my skill with no practice. Maybe titanfall 2 and black ops 3 not sure yet
I'm still playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Since I've finished the main story, I'm going to do the side missions, then I'll look at trophies and decide whether or not I want to try for the platinum (no way I'm even thinking of trying the DLC New Game+ or Ultra Hard trophies).
Also continuing to play Smash Bros Wii U, Zero Time Dilemma and Pokemon Sun.
It is my weekend on rotation at work so I have a pair of 8-4 shifts on Sat and Sun so not a ton of gaming for me this weekend. When I do have time I'm going to do some work on getting more characters to 20 and finding that stupid Cat Call skill in Injustice 2 for the plat and work on the next quest for the college of Winterhold in Skyrim. When I'm off this week though I'm going to sit down and play through Batman Telltale Season 1 from Monday through Thursday.
PS4- Crash Bandicoot Triolgy, Tekken 7, and King of Fighters 14.
Switch- Puyo Puyo Tetris, Arms, and Mario Kart 8.
FFXII The Zodiac age and Overwatch
PS4 - MLB The Show 17, Rise of the Tomb Raider
Switch - Ultra Street Fighter II, Splatoon 2
I'm into December now in Persona 5 so unfortunately I think I'm near the end so I'll be concentrating on finishing this fantastic game up from now on.
I will also be playing more VR so Eagle Flight and Bandit Six Will keep me going on In that other world.
Stella Glow,Picross and Kirby will keep me entertained 3ds wise.
I'm still pretty focused on Splatoon 2.
The Zodiac Age and P5 (almost finished the second run)
@KratosMD Captain Toad is so lovely! I like the slower paced gameplay and it is quite short so agree it would be a good fit for the 3DS. 3D on the stages would really enhance it. The graphics are really nice though.
Try to finish and platinum Crash 3 in the N. Sane Trilogy.
That and play Splatoon 2.
I just got ending B in Nier Automata, so I'm going to dive into C! Loving it so far!
ESO and FF12 for me.
Still playing Nier Automata. I finished C route Wednesday and D route yesterday. I saw all the fake endings I missed during my playthrough except Y (I can't even beat Emil in the first fight😣). I still need to upgrade one more POD and about 8 more weapons.
I want that platinum. I'm so close I can almost taste it.
MWR, FFXII, splatoon 2, gears of war 4. That about covers it 😁
Mostly ff12. With some sundered and nex machina mixed in.
Nice to see more people here playing Splatoon 2. I haven't played anything else for the last few days, even neglecting Gravity Rush. Sorry Kat but splat!!
I'm playing vacation, although I can't play my PlayStation at the condo because the TVs are the worst. I'm strongly considering switching over to Nintendo for a Switch. What am I kidding? I've already decided.
@Fooligan I've just started Route C, and I was wondering how you found it compared to A and B?
Switch: Zelda BOTW
Just back from a brief holiday and working all day Sunday so just a small bit of gaming for me on the Vita. I'll be playing through more of Trails in the Sky SC, great game so far
Beginning to enjoy Life Is Strange. I'm on Episode Two. Didn't think it was for me at first, the teen speak was getting me down, but now I'm having a hella good time for reals.
@vgamerist That's too much Kratos for me.
@BranJ0 I liked it. It's a lot shorter than the first two routes and A2 is fun to play as. You don't only play as A2 though, you play as 9S (still) as well. The game shifts focus between the two as you progress through the story and it leads up to an epic boss fight and a choice to make to determine which ending you get first.
I usually get bored with games towards the end and stop playing just before the final boss so this kept things from feeling stale and obviously it's working because I'm still playing and shooting for the platinum.
@Fooligan Ah okay, thanks, I'm more intrigued now than I was before. I was a bit put out because, aside from the last quarter, I found most of 9S' playthrough to be merely okay, mainly because it just felt like I was retreading old ground. So I was mainly wondering if it all started picking up again, and by the sounds of it, it does!
I'm thinking about starting up KH 1.5 + 2.5 collection. I'm saving Persona 5 untill PS4 has no more games and at the Dawn of the PS5 release .
Working on my backlog. Almost to getting the platinum trophy for Sonic Adventure on PS3 and also playing Donkey Kong Country 2 on the side
Some Metroid Zero Mission sequence breaking, Crash, and maybe some Just Cause 3.
RiME
Trials Evolution
I've spent today playing Kingdom Hearts. I'll either keep playing tomorrow, or try to wrap up Crash 3.
About half way through GTA6 so gonna push through that & a little bit of FIFA21. 😋
@KratosMD I totally second what you wrote about Tolb Raider and Uncharted. I played Tomb Raider Definitive on my PS4, and I absolutely loved it. Just after that, I decided to play all the Uncharted, cause I was thirsty for more adventure !
And I'm playing Uncharted 4 right now (for the first time, by the way). And I still find that the mix of exploration and action was far better on this tomb Raider reboot. I never felt that I was progressing trought a corridor on TR. Uncharted makes me fell that every second.
Can't wait to finally finish U4 (wich is good, but not as good as TR) to get myself lost in TR2 !
Some more Splatoon 2 for me as well as Cave story, on PS4 it'll be Rocket League I think
I suppose when I get home from visiting the in-laws I'll hop back into FF12 and Wolfenstein TNO..
I do have the Vita with me with plenty to play with the Week 1 PSN sale but no real desire to fire it up right now.
The Switch is on ice, maybe I'll play a little Splatoon 2. The rest of the systems are on ice as well.
Splatoon 2. You can clear then stock up on abilities on the splatfest T-Shirt for 2,000 credits!
Splatoon 2. I might play Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection again, too. I was trying to trudge through Uncharted 1, but that game is just not fun at all compared to Uncharted 3 and 4, so I might just skip right to Uncharted 2, which I've never played.
In fairness to UC4, I felt like the combat was far more fluid and enjoyable in that than in previous ND games.
Still never played the TR reboot. Time to remedy that mistake soon!
Oh, and #TeamKetchup
It will be Horizon Zero Dawn & Hitman Season 1. Both are very addictive to play. Going to sink lot of time into these.
Elite Dangerous still. I've finally got my Imperial Clipper and she's such a fine looking and sounding ship. I named her The Alison Gunn after femshep's alternate persona in the Kasumi loyalty mission.
@KirbyTheVampire
I'd say you're in for a treat. For me uncharted 2 is the pinnacle of the series. Before any fake Internet concern that drake was coming across as a mass murderer.... Which he was which made it great, as I and the normal playing public realise its a game and great escapism. And I like killing bad guys after a hard day's work. Enjoy
Finally finished Horizon Zero Dawn. That and some VR, Star Trek, Eagle Flight and Polyblius.
Ps3/vita Zen pinball 2 : deadpool, guardians of the galaxy and ant man
I already played, beat and got the platinum for day of the tentacle monster, great game, however a little short.....
