The latest issue of Japanese publication Weekly Jump reveals that a Gintama game is in the works for PlayStation 4 and Vita. As translated by Gematsu, this is some sort of action title, and it's currently code-named "Last Game". There's not much to go on right now, but given the manga and anime property's popularity both in Japan and here in the West, we'll be keeping an eye on it.
For those out of the loop, Gintama started life as a manga back in the early 2000s. Naturally, its success led to it being adapted into an anime that's still being watched today. It's a mix of mad action and comedy, and well worth a look if you get the chance.

Never read or watched Gintama, all I've seen are amazing stills and gifs.
Sounds pretty cool. Though seeing that Bamco is in charge worries me a little. The gave use some great anime games like Naruto, Dragonball, One Piece,Jojo All Stard and Dot Hack, but also mediocre ones like Extreme Vs Force, Lost Song, Saint Seiya, Asterisk War, J Stars and Eyes of Heaven, and then those that aren't bad but just "meh" overall like the SAO games.
I was so annoyed when Viz Media stopped publishing Gintama. I loved this series.
@shonenjump86 same here, still the anime is running on crunchyroll so we still have something
@FullbringIchigo that's good, Viz really needs to bring it back though.
Only if the show runners have a say. Gintama is incredibly meta and probably one of the funniest shows on any screen anywhere. I can imagine if they had some control over the game, the tutorial section will just be a blank screen with Gin and Kagura talking about which button should be the one to kick someone in the balls.
