It's about time this bomb dropped. Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will finally be getting a Game of the Year edition next month. As you'd expect, the complete package will include all of the game's downloadable content and updates. It launches for PlayStation 4 on the 26th September.
Did you miss out on Fallout 4 when it released back in 2015? Will you be jumping in with the Game of the Year edition? Keep a sharp eye out for deathclaws in the comments section below.

Hahaha! 😂 I'd like the dlc but I heard it wasn't very good. I'll stick with my regular edition. I think I want to do another playthrough someday!
Awesome! I'm a huge fan of Fallout 3 and yet I missed out on Fallout 4! I will be picking this up for sure at some point. I've been playing a lot of Switch stuff at the moment though.
Game of the LOL
My wife and I are big Fallout fans so we already own all the DLC and were one of the lucky ones who could order the Pip Boy edition before they sold out. 😊
Worst Fallout game I've ever played. Terrible dialogue system. Bad optimization across different platforms. Boring world. No really interesting characters.
@ArkhamKnerd I can still get it here in the Netherlands. 😀 😁 😂 🤣
And at least now the bugs are gone i hope its all on the disk otherwise i will still pass on the game the Witcher did it right same as Konami with MGS 5.
I'd love a PSVR edition of Fallout 4 🙏
one of the best games ever
fallout fantastic 4 .
easily my top 10 favorite franchise ever
one of the worst RPG in this generation, Fallout 4 was the first game that I sold, because I don't want it. Not even to be in my collection.
Overated garbage.
@Ralizah It's hard even to call Fallout, unacceptable bad game, after a masterpiece (fallout 2) and two great games (3 and New Vegas).
@Frank90 I bought Fallout 4 digitally on Steam. I can't sell it. ;_;
@Frank90 Fallout 3 and Vegas you those broken and bugged games. Sorry these are the worst broken games around.
They are releasing limited quantities of GOTY Pip Boy Editions in case anyone missed out the first time around. I ended up with two myself so I'm good but i'll probably pick up the GOTY edition when it drops in price.
I think you're all mental. Fallout 4 may not be the best Fallout game, but it's still a damn good game. If it was called Adventures of Wasteland Bobby people would think it was a gem.
@ShogunRok - I thought the main game was good but was let down by the DLC. I didn't care one bit about building settlements and that was most of the DLC.
@Frank90 Fallout 3 and Vegas a broken mess. But its Bethesda look at Skyrim they could not fix the game a whole generation.
@Splat Agree that the DLC was underwhelming, though I did enjoy Nuka World. As for the settlements, I usually ignore that kind of thing — I'm really not a fan of Minecraft and builders in general — but Fallout 4 actually made me care about doing it.
I ended up becoming seriously addicted to building settlements, and scavenging for materials, but the weird thing is I don't think I'd care if that side of the game disappeared in Fallout 5. I'd rather Bethesda take a step back and pack some more role-playing in there.
But again, I'm just not sure we can call Fallout 4 a bad game. Clearly it's quite good, it's just not the Fallout game a lot of people wanted.
No real evil quest options made for a boring game! Most of the time I wanted to be an ass to people but there was no option except maybe the lad in the fridge 😂
I'm just going to comment on Bethesda's nonsense. $60 for a two year old game, I guess their continuing with their profit first policies. Even The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3 Complete Editions were $39.99, this should sit on shelves until it hits $25 at minimum....
@ShogunRok Lets be fair they are quite terrible on any PlayStation platforms. He mist slows down the game lets fix it, dont be ridiculous just remove the mist. I think there are way better studio 's who make games that work out of the box. At least now i try the game fixed and patched. 🤣😋
For whatever reason I wasn't able to get into in when it first came out and sold it. I'll be ready to play it again at some point, and this edition will more than likely be the one I get.
Loved the game when it came out played over a hundred hours left it a long time and bought the season pass other week... I'm personally enjoying Far Harbour. Also like the settlement building stuff, prefer games that let me make my own story's and craft what you want though so that may be why. Definitely my favourite Fallout and probably my favourite game this gen! So well worth it if it's priced at about £30 for people imo... But obviously no need for me to buy again!
@Ralizah Sorry to hear, I felt the same with a few games on steam. So physical is the only day to go to me.
The normal game is a tenner now nab that, I found Fallout 4 a pretty disappointing experience Skyrim was much better.
All the DLC and Todd Howard as the new final boss
@Frank90 I don't usually have this problem. I can count on one hand the number of gaming purchases I've actually regretted. Fallout 4, Bloodborne, and Final Fantasy XIII. That's it. I wasn't a fan of TLOU Remastered, but it only cost me $17, so it was no big loss. Oh, and RE Revelations 2 on PS4, but only because a Switch version was just announced and I'd prefer to play that version.
@Ralizah regretted bloodborne? I can see fallout 4, because of the bugs and can be kinda dull. Alot of people didn't like ff13. I thought everyone liked bloodborne! 🤔
@ellsworth004 I'll never understand why people rave about Bloodborne like they do. It was Dark Souls lite with decent combat mechanics and dark, samey environments that I found difficult to navigate. I downloaded it at launch thanks to the excess of hype that surrounded it and... wasn't a huge fan. I wish I had waited for a bigger price drop like I did with TLOU Remastered.
I completed at least half of the game, I think (last boss I encountered was Amygdala), so I definitely think I gave it a fair shake. Not necessarily a bad game, just not for me. I'll probably give it another chance one day, though.
@Ralizah true it's not as deep as dark souls, I just enjoy the challenge because it is a hard game. I guess I kinda feel the same about TLOU, I've tried and tried to get into that game. I just get bored with it for some reason.
BTW, me saying everyone loves bloodborne was a joke, almost all my friends dislike it.
@ellsworth004 There is an element of truth to your joke, though: the bulk of "hardcore gamers" on PS4 love that game with an almost fanatical passion.
Bloodborne isn't an easy game, by any means, but it did get easier as I played deeper into it and got into the 'flow' of combat. I do have to admit, that moment things 'click' and you go from dying to random scrubs in the first few minutes of the game over and over to viciously mowing down those same enemies without taking a lick of damage is deeply satisfying.
TLOU was a chore to play. Too many sections where the game expects you to do busy work like dragging planks or ladders around. I'm also not a fan of ND's style of cinematic gameplay where practically half of the game is little more than a series of interactive cutscenes. It's a somewhat original take on a very tired genre (zombie horror), but I don't see what it does that really distinguishes it from the flood of other zombie-themed media out there.
Seems they're asking full price for it. €60 is pretty hilarious. The game is about €15 used, €20 new, with a €30 season pass...
