This is not a joke: Knack 2 looks really fun. It’s no surprise, of course, as we said a similar thing at E3 2017 – but given the meme status of the original, it’s worth reminding everyone that the sequel looks like a monumental improvement. Don’t get us wrong, it’s not going to win any Game of the Year awards – but the gameplay variety appears to be much improved compared to its predecessor.
Like, there’s loads on display here: stealth, combat, platforming, and puzzle solving. The co-op dynamic looks especially fun, as you can team up to launch unique moves – like where one Knack punches the other to create a makeshift Tommy gun. The platforming looks way better, too, owing to the fact that you can now change size on the fly.
We honestly wouldn’t be shocked if this ended up being one of the most improved sequels of the generation, and we really mean that.

The first knack will be free on playstation plus just before knack 2 comes out
no knack will win game of the year.but this game look good.my prediction 9 out of 10
This looks like a lot of fun! I don't know much about the first Knack other than hearing a lot of people making fun of it, but I may finally have the need for a second controller so my wife and I can play something on the PS4 together.
Never played the original, but as a fan of 3D platformers I would like this to be good. I'm cautiously optimistic, I want it to succeed to prove there is a demand for 3D platformers.
@ThroughTheIris56 @ArkhamKnerd The original had similar ideas but was clearly rushed for PS4 launch and didn't really develop any of them. This seems like just a massive expansion on all the ideas the first game had, which is cool that they got to see the project through.
I enjoyed the 1st knack with my son and we are already looking forward for this to come out
Looks built for co-op so not sure how it will work playing Solo. I can't deny that it looks visually 'good' but its not a game I would buy but I don't think I would turn down the opportunity to get it if/when Sony offer it for IGC at some point in the future - unless of course I have moved up to a PS5 by that time...
Looks Knack-a-Lackin.
This does honestly look like a fun time.
@Kidfried Wow if the flowers don't "break" then I certainly won't be getting it. lol
Well ofc this is the Game of The Year
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Well the first game sold really well. So you never know.
The first would have been average at best in the PS1 days, so to be an improvement won't be very difficult. However this does like quite fun in its own right and P2 doesn't look like they're just tagging along for the ride.
It's main problem is that is launching after the Crash remaster and the Jak PS2 classic, not to mention being quite close to a certain plumber making his return and Sonic Forces will get more attention after the amazing Sonic Mania, which could leave this looking a bit poor in comparison unless it does turn out to be genuinely amazing
I liked knack.
This looks legitimately good, it looks like god of war for all ages, or like ratchet & clank or tearaway. I think I'll buy it, I need more colorfull and less serious action game after nier automata
Next, please make a good sequel for the order sony, price it $40 if it's linear 6-8 hour game like hellblade, $60 if it's open world like horizon or witcher 3.
bring it on. me and my 5yo still play original Knack daily alongside rocket league and the recent sonic mania and a few other titles. Playing with kids can be a ball and knack is simple enough for my kid to get his head around the controls while listening to the story. day one for me.
@carlos82 Lego Marvel 2 is also due out this holiday, and with Thor 3 everywhere these days that game will be getting a lot of the "parent and kid" co-op $. Maybe all of us here are burned out on Lego games but that fame will sell well.
Just recently picked up Knack for $5 during one of the many PSN sales, I played it solo and my kids played it co-op, everybody seems to forget the first game had 2 player co-op, and we all enjoyed it. So we are looking forward to this one, probably in the spring when it's on sale for $20.
Im going to get this for xmas as I cant bloody afford the silly number of games coming out this quarter, however I will say my first ps4 experience was Knack and I really liked it, but I am an old skool gamer and loved platforming games. I understand people will look at this and go meh.
If its not for you then its not for you but I will point out I dont comment on games that are not my sort of thing because I respect other people's views of games they like
