My issue with the game, that's stopping me from buying it until a heavy drop or an all in one edition is the fact that most of the roster is ripped from UMvC3, with the news folks being DLC, and no special graphic design. Where's the comic book effects like previous games? Even something like a kirby dot filter would be nice.
Oh and no X-Men / FF characters, but we all know why that's a thing.
So... like 4 new characters on the launch roster? Man, it's like they're purposefully shooting themselves in the foot.
Im waiting for a complete edition im sick and tired being a first adopter and getting a kick in the **** for it.
Yeah. Really not interested till the ultimate edition.
See? Wasn't that hard, was it?
Too bad Dante's haven't gotten any improvements.
Now the main issue to most will be the ROSTER besides graphics the roster is the ofc one of the most important things to a fighting game unfortunately the leaks destroyed this games chance to be amazing at launch prob later in time it'll be better but yea...
@Cassetticons Son why aren't there any Xmen characters?
Love the trailer! Could be an awesome brawler, but I'll wait for GOTY on this and other games thanks.
Now looks like the new Shenhua in Shenmue III
@Tasuki Rumour is that Marvel are trying to push down X-Men and FF characters outside comics because Fox has the movie rights and Disney want the rights back. So they're basically getting eyes off the product hoping it affects the movies and therefore get the rights back.
I didnt like how mvc 3 looked and this seems to be continuing that. It just looks.... Anemic or something. Thin and weak like something is missing. And its the same roster as part 3 minus all the interesting characters. Ive never been too into mvc but have a full on obsession with streetfighter so ill prob pick this up on sale or something down the line
You can make Arcade modes? Ok go patch SFV
Dont like Marvel or Vs games so I wont get it.
Captain America is still missing his neck.
@Cassetticons Yeah I heard about that. Sad thing is it won't work as Xmen are way to well known for that to work. They are just hurting themselves in the long run.
Having the roster from MVC3 is fine. It just need a few more new characters on both sides that isn't DLC. Some more female characters too. Capcom could have done better on that part. The whole Disney/Fox thing with X-Men and F4 is annoying. But the gameplay looks good so I will definitely be getting.
I don't like comics so bit hugely I retested but I read just extremely positive things about the gameplay every time so FGC celeb get his hands on this. I love Jedah! Give us a new Daekstalkers, Capcom.
Chun is way more pretty in SFV but at least age's not creepy now...
Yeah I'll fix your face... HADOUKEN!!!
Awful roster. Also isn't Black panther confirmed DLC?
@Xaessya : Naaah. Several of these characters, including Captain America, are just the Rob Liefeld versions Those abominations go best with Capcom's current hideous art style for Street Fighter characters, you see
They should have 90's Rob Liefeld design some SFV characters. It would make a heckuva lot more sense than Todd McFarlane designing Soul Calibur fighters.
The story mode still looks like cheap fanfiction compared to the epic stories Netherrealm can bring to their fighting games.
ANYTHING would be better then Streetfighter V !
..right ?
Oh god, get masters of teras kasi away from me !
@KitsuneNight I'm probably one of the handful of people who actually LIKE Masters of Teras Kasi. It was one of the first PS1 games I bought when I started to beef up my retro collection. :'D
@Azikira
Oh, there is always one isn't there ? ;p
Master of Teras Kasi was the first really terribad beat em up, that sprung to mind.
@KitsuneNight Heh, I really don't get why people think it's SO bad. I mean sure, even as a fan I can admit it's not great. Probably pretty mediocre, but I've played worse for sure. Plus it's the only Star Wars game that I'm aware of that has Jodo Kast in it (his story is pretty funny IMO), basically a bootleg Boba Fett with plastic armor. XD
@Azikira
It's been a while since i played the game. but from what i remember is that its extremely clunky, unresponsive, confusing controls and just plain bad AI.
Either a cakewalk, or so hard you will break your controller in two.
@KitsuneNight It's usually the AI being unfairly difficult with perfect combos and impossible reaction times (like most VS game bosses in the arcade days).
The controls are fine for me, but the attacks all have a slight delay behind them because it shows them winding up and attacking. Kind of realistic, but not the most fun in practice.
@Azikira
i havent played the game in years though
but the last time i played it i didnt enjoy iy
@KitsuneNight Have you played MvC∞ yet? I bought it for my birthday the other day and it's shockingly bad in ways I didn't think it could be bad.
@Azikira
No
I played the previous 3.
3 was ridicilously easy and 1 and 2 were ridicilously hard.
Its not a series I care much for, despite being a Marvel fan.
@KitsuneNight 2 is still probably my favorite for the lone reason of character variety. 3 was pretty good and at one point I was so good at it I could just juggle enemies without them having a chance to fight back (not so much anymore), but this one is just... Odd..
The music is a huge issue for me, and the game suffers all around because of HORRID sound design. When you start a match, you have to wait like 3 seconds before you can actually fight and there's no music or sounds at ALL. I thought my game was defective at first, but no... It's like that on purpose!
