Sonic Mania may be the best rated outing from the Blue Blur in eons, but Sonic Forces will attempt to outpace it later this year. SEGA has slapped a 9th November release date on the Sonic Team developed adventure in Japan – though there’s still no word on a North American or European launch date at the time of typing. We’d expect it roughly around the same time.
Interestingly, only the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will receive a retail release in the Land of the Rising Sun – the Xbox One edition will be digital only. Are you looking forward to this, or has Sonic Mania sated your appetite for high-speed platforming? Prove that you gotta go fast in the comments section below.

Im not shocked by thr lack of a physical Xbone release in Japan.
I mean...its Japan. :/
Still if past games are anything to go by, Generations was early November worldwide all on one weekend. Lost World was mid October all in one weekend. Same with Colours.
Either 7th, 9th or 10th.
interesting but not surprising, the XB1 isn't really doing well in japan so it might not be worth the money for SEGA to create physical versions, kind of like how Metal Gear Rising was a PS3 exclusive there because it wasn't worth releasing a 360 version
I'm astonished that Microsoft still even bothers in Japan, it's sad to look at their sales charts and see Xbox One maybe getting 100 units that week at best.
