The Augustopocalypse has arrived, so this is a predictably large European PlayStation Store update – albeit not as huge as future weeks are going to be. The highlight this time is probably Patapon Remastered, but also keep an eye out for Dino Frontier and Brawlhalla.

pon-pon-pata-pon
I'm not sure if I'm a filthy weaboo or if Sammy is, but that's a reference to the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu song no?
It's probably me. I mean just look at my profile picture. 😂
@Constable_What I'm 99% certain that it is directly referring to Patapon. Pon-pon-pata-pon is one of the several chants used in the game. If memory serves, it's the chant to attack
@JoeBlogs Me too. I'm unabashedly proud! I was weeb trash before it was mainstream! 😂
@Quintumply Hahaha I am the weaboo then. I read that in the tune of Pon Pon Pon by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Lol
Shout out Frisky Business..
I never got past the desert in Patapon way back when. Maybe I can now...
@JoeBlogs Yes!
@Constable_What definitely not referring to Kyary but hey, Kyary is cool!
I am reading terrible things about the patapon remaster (( input lag and whatnot
Sooooo when is Brawlhalla going free?
@Feena Input lag seems perfectly fine for me (not noticeable), but there doesn't appear to be a calibration for users with really laggy displays.
Also, the framerate is a mixture of weird and bad. I think they kept the original animations in which mimic lower framerates, but in 'cutscenes' and certain menus, it feels like it's chugging.
If I had a guess, I'd say this wasn't much of a remaster, but more of an emulated version with updated models/textures. Sometimes I swear it's running a straight up PSP emulator version of the game.
@NathanUC thank you for the insight! I am really on the fence ..
@Feena I still highly recommend it. The gameplay is solid (again, as long as you have a medium/low input lag display). It seems a bit easier than I remember though. For the price, it's great, but I would have still liked a bit more polish.
