Standalone spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy debuted third in the United States sales charts for August 2017 – an impressive result considering many scored the title for free as part of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s season pass. The side-story was beaten by Madden NFL 18 and a resurgent Grand Theft Auto V, though it’s perhaps worth mentioning that the charts are ordered by revenue and Chloe and Nadine’s outing retailed for a cheaper $40.
It’s a result that Sony and Naughty Dog will no doubt be satisfied with, though it wasn’t enough to propel the PlayStation 4 back to the top of the hardware charts. That honour has instead gone to the Nintendo Switch for the second month in a row, and there’s a nice tussle between the two systems taking place now. According to the NPD’s Mat Piscatella, the PS4 is still currently the top-selling console in the States year-to-date, but it’s going to have to really scrap to hold onto that crown as Christmas nears.

God, Naughty Dog animations are amazing.
Very diverse line up. Good month, but the first half of the year was the stronger.
Have to imagine bundles will do well, but it'll be interesting to see whether it's enough to power it through the rest of the year.
What was the cut off date for the month?
That gif is fantastic. I definitely still need to pick Lost Legacy up.
Loved LL and no comments on GTA V..
Well done 'Nintendo Dog'
I reckon there'll be a $199 Base / $299 pro bundled with horizon and lost legacy by mid november. for black friday it might even include one of the big third party games sony's partnered on (destiny, fifa, battlefront, cod).
Very good results, and good news for Nintendo too.
Could you imagine where Switch would be if Nintendo didn't Nintendo things as usual? I would have a much clearer picture overall.
But a very good showing this month, even with repeated hitters.
I got Lost Legacy digital, as I did Splatoon 2. Guess those dont count here. Maybe tonight I will beat Chloe's adventure.
@Punished_Boss_84 Yeah, Switch could be doing a lot better if Nintendo hadn't made a lot of mistakes with it.

This shows the bigger picture. Even despite Switch being a new system, even despite the launch spike it had, PS4 is still beating it just for this year, in addition to the massive install base it already has in the US.
