We've always been fans of FIFA's career mode -- taking Liverpool to the top of the league and keeping them there because they can't bloody do it in real life -- so we're happy to hear that the simulation's getting some significant overhauls in this year's edition.
Indeed, FIFA 18's career will actually incorporate cutscenes this time around. You'll get to see managers, players, and even agents negotiate for new contracts and all that nonsense. The mode will also use the dialogue wheel that was introduced in FIFA 17's The Journey. All in all, we're looking at a much more cinematic experience, although it's worth noting that the dialogue won't be voiced, for obvious reasons.
You can get an early look at the cutscenes in ChesnoidGaming's overview video, which we've embedded above. Are you liking the changes? Live out your footie fantasies in the comments section below.

I can see it now. 2017 games awards, best RPG: FIFA18.
Meh. I love dropping into a game of fifa quite often but have never got into the career mode at all.
The Journey was ok last year but felt really empty
This looks like it will get tedious and annoying quick
Finally ditching all that playing with balls nonsense and getting in to what football fans really want.
Bit unrealistic as you probably wouldn't have the managers negotiating fees etc, but does look good as seems to give you way more transfer options.
