There's a story doing the rounds today that Bethesda has an unannounced game ready to be released before the year is out. Said story is based on an interview with VP of marketing Pete Hines in which he states that the company has a secret project due to launch in 2018.
Naturally, this kind of comment got people talking. What the heck could Bethesda possibly have lined up over the next four months that we don't yet know about? Is it going to pull a huge reveal out of nowhere and then have the game launch a month later? Is it some mobile thing that a PlayStation site wouldn't give two snots about?
As it turns out, it's got nothing planned at all. In a corrective tweet, Hines says that he misspoke: "I probably just had a concussion from the beating I took online and was rambling. Ignore."
That's the end of that, then.

Half Life 3 confirmed!
Considering their form recently, maybe that's just as well. Let them keep working on whatever they are working on (another Skyrim remaster probably) and hopefully come out with something stellar
Eh? Doesn't make sense. He accidentally said they have a secret project to launch in 2018? That's an odd thing to... ramble.
How do you accidentally say that? You would pretty much have to be drunk.
2017 too soon to ending. Hopefully 2018 we get a Fallout spinoff.
I wouldnt trust the word of the VP of marketing. It's his job to drum up interest..
Announcing a game for a time frame while rambling is way to stupid to be true I think that either there really is a game coming or there was plan for a game but it got pushed.
Can't wait to find out what platform they're releasing Skyrim next on!
Whatever it is I doubt it is TES or Fallout related. Perhaps new IP?
Maybe the game was suppose to come out this year, but it was way too buggy, even for them, to be released until next year at the earliest.
