Fate/Grand Order is the biggest mobile game in the world right now. It also happens to be published by Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. New data shows that the free-to-play role-playing game inspired by the Fate/stay night visual novel was not only the top grossing iOS and Android app in Japan last month – where it dethroned Monster Strike after a spell of over two years at the top – but was also the biggest success story globally.
The game itself has been available in Japan for over two years, but recently launched in the United States as well. Sony’s starting to get more and more serious about mobile game development, having recently founded ForwardWorks – a new division within Sony Interactive Entertainment dedicated to developing software for smartphones.

Scary i hate mobile games.
@Kidfried @Flaming_Kaiser Why is it scary?
Hoping for a UK release at some point. With a bit of luck the US version will do well, otherwise probably not.
I don't even have a smart phone so why would I get excited about Sony's smartphone games.
I hope their increasing interest in mobile gaming is not going to decrease their in consoles..
Of course i use to remember this game making a milion a day back in it's prime(maybe it still does)...when Pokemon Go was the craze this game was bigger in Japan...Fate is one of the biggest mobile games right now and it's no wonder we have Fate/Apocrypha fate Haven's feel movies coming out.
Wow i didn't even realise and i play the dam game
@get2sammyb If they smell the easy money we get massive amounts of Mobile garbage instead of good games.
@Flaming_Kaiser I'm sure they can make both mobile games and console games. This has been out for two years already, and their console output has been huge recently. Also, this may be both a mobile game AND good. If it's this popular, it has to have something to recommend it.
Unfortunately it's not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S8 according to Google Play Store
I'll try it if it ever comes out in the UK...
I tried the game but I honestly don't get why people like it so much. The gameplay was bland and repetitive to me when I played it.
