Square Enix has slapped a date on Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer expansion. Titled Comrades, the pack adds a full-blown co-op mode to the game in which you create your own custom character and take on combat-heavy missions with other players. It's part of the game's season pass, but it'll also be available separately.
Comrades launches for PlayStation 4 on Halloween -- that's the 31st October for those of you who don't much care for ghosts and ghouls and the end of ye olde calendars. Are you looking forward to playing it? Slay some ugly monsters in the comments section below.

well while it needed a little work i really enjoyed the beta so yeah i'm looking forward to this
plus they confirmed it takes place in the 10 year time skip which is good
i wonder if you will be able to use your custom character in the main game too, it would be cool to have him/her as a 5th party member
Honestly haven't looked into the whole comrades multiplayer yet, but I was kind of hoping it would just turn out to be 4 player co-op and you get to choose Noct or one the others and play through the story together. Oh Well maybe Comrades will turn into a big hit cough
Oh, sooner than I expected. The beta was enjoyable but had a lot of matchmaking problems, I can see spending some time playing Comrades with my friends if they fix it!
It looks really good, how much is it?
I played the beta a couple of times, most of the time waiting for other players. The final version will also be playable solo (with AI comrades), so the waiting might not be an issue anymore.
Mmmmmm, Uematsu...
@ShogunRok I know we went over this w/ Dynasty Warriors, that you don't mention multiplayer if their isn't any, but when I read a sentence like this - "the pack adds a full-blown co-op mode to the game" - my brain reads co-op as couch. And if it's "full blown" co-op mode, well then it really should include couch co-op, b/c otherwise it's just "online co-op only" as it's not really full blown.
So, will I be playing this with my kids?
Oh, also, it's kind of odd to be reading a story about multiplayer but that blue GAME INFO box you like so much says "Players: 1". Though if the co-op is only online then it is 1 player to me.
@rjejr Generally speaking, if we mention co-op, we're most likely referring to online co-op since that's pretty much the standard these days. If it's specifically couch co-op, that's something I'd probably point out.
@ShogunRok "we're most likely referring to online co-op"
I know, but why allow for the vagueness of "most likely" when you can simply say - "online only" it's only 2 words. Or, you could have replaced "full blown co-op mode" with "online co-op mode", then you are actually typing 1 less word, exchanging "full-blown", which obviously this isn't b/c I don't see how something can be "full-blown" when it is leaving out offline, with "online co-op". Problem solved.
Oh, and I know you youngun's today are all about " I'll text ya if I'm going to be late but I wont' txt you if I'm not.", everything is such a rush you dont' have time to send "pointless" txts, but I hate that. I hate when people say "I'll call you if ...but wont' call ya if..." Just freakin' call me, it only takes a few seconds and gets rid of all the confusion. That's what happens when you get old, it's all very confusing.
