Gran Turismo Sport’s warming its tires ahead of its release in under two weeks, and Polyphony Digital’s dropped a superb trailer detailing the car classes that you’ll find in the final game. Even if you’re not really interested in motorsport, this clip is brilliantly produced – explaining exactly how vehicles are classified based on their characteristics. It’s well worth a watch.
In addition to the educational video, the developer’s also deployed a new video revealing Interlagos for the game – the Sao Paulo-based course best known for hosting the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Remember, a four-day demo for Gran Turismo Sport will start on 9th October, and you’ll be able to carry across some of your progress into the final game. You’ll find more on that through here.

It's very disappointing that they've cut the Gran Turismo mode but this is still looking utterly incredible and I can't wait!
Looks good and all but what does this offer in terms of innovation or anything that betters or hasn't been done in Project Cars and Forza?
@MaccaMUFC The whole FIA thing is pretty innovative. That said, I'm not exactly sure what you expected from a racing game. I mean, what exactly does Project CARS do that's never been seen before?
I want to see a list of the real production cars. And I want to know if I can modify them myself.
@get2sammyb I'm definitely going to remember this comment when reading your totally unbiased review of GT in a couple weeks
@RedMageLanakyn What's that supposed to mean?
@get2sammyb Well I think Project Cars adds a lot of realism more than any other racing game that's come before it, which in a racing sim you should actually want. I've not bought either PC2 or Forza 7 but instead rented them because apart from new cars and prettier graphics, it's the same game and it starts getting very mundane racing around the same tracks from the previous series over and over.
Now Forza Horizon breaks away from all that and it's just a breath of fresh air. Imagine an open world GT? Probably not but then people probably thought that about Forza Motorsport, before the first Horizon came along.
@MaccaMUFC But... Forza Horizon is a completely different kind of game; it's more comparable to a recent Need for Speed.
Why the heck would a game that's always sold itself as a simulation racer suddenly become an open world arcade game where you race helicopters?
It's like saying, "Man, Battlefield is pretty fun but where's the innovation? They should make it more like Just Cause 3."
@get2sammyb I just think based on your past adoration of the GT series, reviews of games like PC2 and GT Sport should be handled by someone else more neutral to racing games in general. I know there will always be personal opinion injected into reviews, and overall review scores are opinions in general, but it seems a bit one sided with your views.
No hard feelings, i'm not saying your PC2 review was biased, i thought it was ok, if a bit heavy on comparisons with GT, I just think a fresh set of eyes would lead to a more accurate review for those of us who aren't exactly in love with GT games.
@MaccaMUFC I feel that GT Sport will excel at improving drivers. The mission modes are all about teaching which is something those other games are lacking in. I still consider it more a tool than a game and I suspect that will be off-putting to most.
@RedMageLanakyn I've just looked it up to check myself and I mentioned Gran Turismo by name twice in my Project CARS 2 review. (And for the record, one of those mentions was merely referring to the release date of the game being close to GT and Forza — a pertinent point given sales of PC2 are down 75% compared to the first one.)
Also, I've only ever reviewed one GT game (the PSP one in 2009), which I awarded a 7/10.
And I guess I never wrote these very critical articles either:

@get2sammyb I said "no hard feelings" but clearly you're on the fast track(no pun intended) to take offense by immediately posting snarky comebacks and links to back up times where you weren't showing your love for GT. You've said in comments sections before, even in reply to me, that you flat out disliked the first Project Cars also, but i'm not going to take the time to link to those because it's not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. I expressed my opinion, without insult, and this is "your site" so it's not like I expect changes to happen.
@get2sammyb Anyone could of said exactly what you just said about Forza Motorsport before Horizon came along, now look at how well it's done, I dare say Horizon is more popular than Motorsport itself these days.
I never meant that GT should do away with its traditional racing sim genre but instead could use the model Forza adopted and release a spin-off that plays like Test Drive Unlimited while it still releases its usual racing sim like this GT Sport.
@RedMageLanakyn I've taken no hard feelings but you're being unfair and so I'm defending myself.
And yes, I did have issues with the original Project CARS, and I explained why in my review: https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/project_cars
@get2sammyb I don't see how I was being unfair, but then again I'm seeing things differently based on how I view your comments and overall writing style, so we'll be on opposite sides of that i guess.
@ShogunRok if that's a reference to my comments you'll have to spell it out for me, not a big Simpsons fan
why does the guy keep saying "turismo sports" when the game is called "sport"?
Slick trailer.
Those be some mighty fine looking automobiles boy.
@ShogunRok Love it when that gif shows up in a thread.
@get2sammyb Can you please just do everything perfectly and satisfy everyone for once? Please??? How hard can that be???
@get2sammyb I'd ignore redmageforza if I was you! If you look at his comments April 2017 he clearly states he never liked Gran Turismo since GT1 and always preferred Forza or project cars. Can't reason with diehard fanboys! I know a ninty fanboy who says horizon graphics don't come anywhere near mario 64! Pure madness! Wisdom says argue with a fool and you get dragged to their level😆
Let's hope the demo will show us this is not "Bumper Cars 2017". Even during the recent Milan Gaming Week, only two weeks before release, the press had to play a damageproof version of the game...
@bbq_boy Wow, a stalker, how...creepy. Cowardly too that you couldn't even mention me in the comment, had to resort to a (what you probably thought was clever) name and name calling at that! Your parents must be proud. By the way, not a "diehard fanboy" either. I've bought and played all the GT games up to 5, and they didn't click with me like Forza or PC have. Willing to give Sport a chance if it fixes a lot of the recurring issues that GT games tend to carry over from game to game.
@RedMageLanakyn
You cant accuse a reviewer of being biased with a sarcastic comment & then label them snarky for using the same tactics to defend themselves.. C'mon..
As for @get2sammyb being a GT fanboy, why wouldnt PS get a GT fan to review it? He's just as likely to be as critical as anyone else & i'd prefer to read a review of a racing game by someone who has more than just a passing interest.
You just come across like you have a personal problem with his reviews & couldnt resist throwing your bit in.
@ShogunRok Funny, although I think I get it wrong
@FaultyDroid I guess I could go back and forth with you on this, but really it's a waste of both of our times. I feel a certain way about the situation, and I know it won't change, and yes, i did feel the need to throw in my two cents, because I've mentioned it before and it went unanswered. So I went the sarcastic route to get his attention. I won't bring it up again, as it's clear I'm in the minority, and I know when to stop butting my head against the wall before I get injured.
Thank you for at least responding with some actual points, and not just throwing out insults or gifs like some others have done. I know my personal opinion isn't popular, but i at least deserve the same respect as everyone else without being flamed for it.
@RedMageLanakyn
I wasnt taking objection to your opinion, you're entitled to it. My issue was your first sarcastic response to Sammy, which in itself contained no 'actual points' either. If you're in danger of causing yourself physical injury, maybe ignore articles you're unhappy with instead of expressing your displeasure at every turn & baiting the writers?
Back on tpoic.. I'd go as far as saying that I quite like to see a little bias from a fan in reviews.. Sure an argument can be made that its one-sided but a good example that springs to mind was the review of FFXV on Kotaku..
https://kotaku.com/final-fantasy-xv-the-kotaku-review-1789400066
Written by someone with a passion for the series, & no doubt read by thousands who share it. A little bias can make for a great read, & a thorough & fair review too.
@FaultyDroid I'm ok with a little bias in reviews as well, however like I said before, I don't really want to get into this in depth, I just have issues with the way things transpired from his review and following comments of project cars 1 and now. Those are my issues, and I've said what I wanted to say, even if I didn't use the best methods to get my point made. It quickly got derailed by insults and gifs, so i'm just dropping it.
It was a great joy reading this thread on a Saturday morning 😄. No matter the review i'm gonne play this game once i reinstall my pspro and put the wiiu and snes mini back to bed (only 2 hdmi slots).
@RedMageLanakyn not stalking buddy, just curious why you are hating a game so much without it even being released yet. You scared me! And being an open forum, isn't all of our comments history visible. Hint.. It's open forum. Feel free to check mine too as I'm not sensitive to what I've said before! We all say things in the past, some honest, some stupid, some with regret (I've said silly things too! And hopefully apologised to whomever for saying them). But isn't it worth checking out a comment or review and test to see if they're biased or not? Your comment gave the impression of disliking this new GT without even testing it. Is this true or not? And since you hit below the belt by bringing up my parents. I won't do that to your parents as I love mine probably as much as you love yours. But you're comment is creepily similar to IPhone fanboys who automatically dislike any android phone that comes out even if the Android is better or good. Stay frosty dude. Peace😊
