And just like that there are too many games to play. The market is currently flooded with new releases, and there are plenty more to come over the next three or four weeks. The question is: what’s keeping you busy this weekend? You know the drill by now.

I'll be spending my weekend in sunny old Egypt as I sprint through Assassin's Creed Origins. So far I'm enjoying it way more than the last couple of entries, and as long as it keeps that godawful modern day storyline away from me, I'll continue to be one happy, stabby, hooded man.

This weekend, I'm only going to have eyes for Wolfenstein. It's been far too long since I've killed any Nazis. Plus, it's a single player only game. Gotta keep the dream alive.

In between attending sessions of this big conference that my church is hosting, I’m drowning in gaming glory. It’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Super Mario Odyssey for me. Considering that the former’s the sequel to one of my favorite FPSs and the latter’s akin to my favorite game ever (Super Mario Galaxy), man... This weekend is something else.

I've finally started my bid for the Platinum Trophy in Final Fantasy IX. When I arrived at the infamous jump rope mini-game - in which you've got to skip a rope 1,000 times without tripping - I became somewhat dismayed after 15 minutes of trying and only managing a personal best of six. By the time the Trophy popped, I looked like Robin Williams when he gets rescued from the jungle in Jumanji. So that's the Trophy for 100 jumps done, now to spend an entire weekend trying to get to 1,000. Pray for me.

It'll be a mix of Dark Souls 3 and PES 2017: Pro Evolution Soccer for me this weekend. If I get too frustrated in the Kingdom of Lothric then off to the footy I'll go - that is, until Dejan Lovren forgets how to use his legs and I'm 3-0 down to Swansea.

With Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus receiving extremely favourable reviews, I've decided to finally catch up on the series, so I'll be playing a bit of Wolfenstein: The New Order this weekend. Aside from that, there's still the small matter of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, of which I feel I've only just scratched the surface.

So this weekend I am Switching things up a bit (see what I did there?) and I will be sinking some time into Super Mario Odyssey which I am enjoying a lot. When others are playing that, I will be playing Overwatch.
What games will be keeping you busy this weekend, then? You know the drill in the comments section below.

It's a me...
I am holding off on playing games like AC Origins, Wolfenstein 2 etc until early Nov and having finished all of my Destiny 2 'weekly' content, I am unsure what to play. I have quite a few games in my backlog to clear before starting on the new games so may end up playing some of those.
I'm absolutely overwhelmed right now. I'm literally alternating between four games evil within 2,middle earth shadow of war, wolfenstein 2 and ac origins. I'm loving all four of them especially wolf 2 and ac origins which are amazing while evil within 2 is great and middle earth is good.
Assassin's Creed Origins .. but my issue is when The Frozen Wilds comes out I will stop playing all together until I beat it .
Back2knack2, also blaster master zero on switch, got the first ending (that's depressing ), already 100% area 1-8 map, now I only need to finish the mutant lord boss.
Unfortunately, my mario odyssey will arrive monday
Definitely Super Mario Odyssey on Switch. On PS4 the usual fighting games of Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Street Fighter V. I’m gonna try out Zeku, looks like a fun character. Uncharted Lost Legacy and Yakuza Kiwami as well if I have time.
I thought Nintendolife hijacked the article
PS4: Disgaea 5, GT Sport
PSVita: Ys Memories of Celceta
Reached the level cap in Disgaea 5 (Lvl 9999!) & got what I wanted from the game. Going to finish the DLC episodes & then I think I'll be done.
Probably throw in some GT Sport & make time for the vita so that I can continue the excellent Ys: Memories of Celceta.
Nothing but Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 this weekend. When my weekend rolls around(Tues-Fri), it’ll be Persona 5, Destiny 2, and Dishonored 2.
I am having a blast with Assassin's Greed Origins. Much better than the previus entries and a bit more fun if you understand Greek.
For example in a quest while they charge some one yells "For Saganaki" wich is a type of grill cheese!
Not much time for gaming until tomorrow at least but I finished Evil Within 2 last week which I really enjoyed and I've had a bit of a go on Wolfenstein 2 which is gunna be a hell of a ride!
For me I'm working the weekend again and when I'm home I'll probably be watching season 2 of Stranger Things with my wife. But when I have a little time it will my frustrating endless pursuit of Cat Call on Injustice 2 and maybe a little Yooka-Laylee as a I get closer to the platinum and some South Park Fractured but Whole.
GT Sport, Wolfenstein The Old Blood and Elite Dangerous. In ED, I set out towards Sagittarius A for some exploration but about a quarter of the way out I discovered a few planets that nobody else had so I quickly scurried all the way back to the bubble so I was first to claim them. Got a trophy for it too.
Super Mario Odyssey!
I gave myself a 3 day early birthday gift in the form of AC Origins so most of my time is going into that. I'm enjoying it so far but I haven't quite lost myself to it yet, like I have with some of the previous entries. That isn't to say I won't completely love it though because I had a similar experience with Shadow of War for the first 10 or so hours, and I ended up having an absolute blast with that (until the fourth act anyway).
If I can tear myself away from AC there are a few other games I've had on the go, like my career in Project CARS 2 and the Halloween events in both ESO and Fortnite. With all that to keep me busy, I'll hopefully be able to forget that my age ticks over on Monday
Super Mario Odyssey because it is the game to play. Maybe a little Yakuza on PS4 for balance and Japanese verb conjugation for school.
Super Mario Odyssey. I'm not far enough into it to determine if it'll dethrone Sunshine as my favorite Mario game, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it did. It's awesome. Definitely one of the best games I've ever played.
The amount of games I have to play is getting extremely overwhelming now and games are supposed to relax and let you enjoy yourself not cause you to get stressed over how much you have to get through lol.
Like others I will be playing the game that involves an acrobatic little man with a big moustache and a red cap.
Lego City Under Cover and also back to the brilliant Witcher 3 will be taking up my time this weekend.
@vegeta11 excellent taste in shows!I'm trying to watch one episode per night to give me something to look forward too but damn is hard to stick with one..
I'll finish off Monster Hunter Generations this weekend, there's only one quest left that I'd like to beat. Also some Layton's Mystery Journey and Tomb Raider III.
Since there's a lack of playstation in my post, I'll mention a sneaky extra non-weekend game. Halloween is the perfect day for starting Until Dawn, so I'll give it a try while hiding behind the sofa on Tuesday.
@Wazeddie22 We watched eps 1 & 2 last night and probably 3-4/5 tonight.
I want to be playing wolfenstein but I'm working this weekend. I really should buy it but having to pay for a wedding is scuppering any chance of spending 40 quid on non essentials sadly.
Hopefully get some gaming in this weekend. Doing a Super Metroid focused podcast episode this weekend, so I'll be playing that.
Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll be playing stardew valley on PS4.
Continuing through Wolfenstein 2 and waiting on Super Mario Odyssey to be delivered. Boom, that is me sorted for some time.
I thought I would finish Danganronpa 2 by now, but I had too many distractions this week. Not to mention now Stranger Things 2. So we’ll see. I’m at the end of chapter 5 in D2; the game is brilliant.
Also playing Back to the Future. Not a brilliant game, but I’m halfway through now so I feel like I need to just finish it for completeness sake. I’m kind of curious how all the timeline alterations are going to be resolved, but the gameplay is very rough. Just walking from point A to point B is a chore.
Mario of course.
I only have eyes for Zelda at the moment after starting that a few weeks ago...
Going to continue celebrating Halloween with some Dead Rising 2 off the record, Evil Within 2, another run through of RE4 with the HD texture packs on PC.
I bet I'm the only italian with moustache on this site, still I can't buy me a Switch to play Odissey
Luckly, Dishonored 2 is a masterpiece! Missione 6, 21 hours. I'm counting every brick in Dunwall and Karnacka!
I'm at my Mum's this week so not much gaming for me. I did bring my Vita so have been doing little bits of Danganronpa V3 here and there. I'm in the middle of the third class trial.
For my longer gaming sessions I'll be alternating between AC Origins and ME Shadow of War (and trying not to get their controls mixed up!). For short sessions - or "palette cleansers" as I call them - FIFA 18 and Forza 7. If I get time maybe a bit of Destiny 2 as well. Good times
I am never one to go with the flow but forget it, I am playing Super Mario Odyssey all weekend!
If Mario allows, Splatoon 2 will see some play time and if the squids allow, it will be Binding of Isaac on PC. Using the PS4 to stream the Baseball matches for my bro.
Horizon. Its not the greatest 'game' Ive played this year but you get pulled right in with the graphics and setting. the world building is in many ways like a final fantasy game. Its just a pity invisible walls are always there to pull you back out.
Tonight its Destiny to finish off the raid.
I’m still trying to finish up just cause 3 then I’m going to buy a new game which I haven’t decided yet. Apart from ps plus games I’ve now cleared my back log something which I didn’t feel I could ever accomplish. So going forward I’m going to buy and complete before moving on which should save me a few pounds in the long run as prices drop so quickly
Still playing Elite Dangerous daily. Also play Wolfenstein II at night. I bought GT Sport and South Park but have them on Hold for now along with many other back logged games on PS4.
@themcnoisy The hunting system dissapointed me badly. I expected it to be the core of the game but it felt more like an unsatisfying inconvenience, even on Very Hard, since you are constantly overpowered. My fault, I guess. Monster Hunter will surely comfort me...
Just began Until Dawn, with some WipEout in between.
I shall be playing Guilty Gear Accent Core and Tekken 7 for my fighting fix, and I will hopefully finish Final Fantasy VII this weekend as well. I made it to the final boss last night, but got hit with a max damage attack out of nowhere, and have to run the gauntlet again. Wish me luck.
I'll be playing Mario Odyssey and rejoicing in the fact that I finally have a reason to turn my Switch back on.
Not much, Sony have had my PS4 Pro back under warranty for nearly a month now.
Overheating (but not shutting down) and chucking out a smell like burning plastic and wires. Makes your eyes hurt.
Anyone else had the same??
Fallout 4 replay with mods. What a big difference some little changes make. Mods like clear water, less fog, clear weather, and god rays/volumetric lighting off or reduced. Now it is always sunny and clear with great colors and draw distance. Far harbor has better frame rates with the ugly fog and weather removed.
The ugly image above from ACO looks like it would benefit from settings changes and or mods.
AC Origins (when its not black screen of death crashing on me) I picked up Prey for £12 as well, which has turned out pretty damn decent actually.
Only Prey.
Maybe I will receive Super Mario Odyssey and Wolfenstein 2 on Monday, also I'm still waiting for my copy of South Park....
Alternating between Witcher 3 and AC:Origins.
Good times!!
wolfenstein 2, southpark the stick of truth.
Xenoverse 2,paladins and brawlhala on ps4
Super mario picrosa on super famicom
Super Mario Odyssey!!!!
Still playing a lot of Eve Valkyrie on PSVR, since the last update basically put the game in its 2.0 version (which is awesome).
On the other hand, I have a lot to do on the Snes mini : just finished Super Mario World (didn't aged at all), and played a lot of Starfox, F-Zero and Street Fighter 2 Turbo (all important pieces of my childhood).
I'll be playing mainly The fracture But whole, a bit of Prey and a bit PES 2018.
What a good time to be a gamer!!
I'm really tempted to get Wolfenstein 2 and AC Origins after a price drop
South Park Fractured But Whole
Super Mario Odyssey and it is absolutely fantastic. Definitely my favorite Switch game to date and on track to be a slam dunk pick for me when it comes to Game of the Year.
Mad Max. Can't stop playing .
Wolfenstein and Origins for me
@spakai - great game! I loved Mad Max!! <3
@kyleforrester87 picked up wolfenstein the new order, went ahead and got the bundle so that's what's im gonna be playing tomorrow when it's done downloading.
Until then Nioh(😫) and the really surprising sleeping dogs, very fun game.
@spakai such a underrated game.
@ellsworth004 nice, which bundle sorry? New Order and Old Blood?
Nioh is one game I missed this year. Will be getting it in the new year!
@Kyroki interested in Evil Within 2?
Tales of Hearts R (psv)
One of the funniest RPGs I've ever played.
@kyleforrester87 yeah new order and old blood, awesome game so far, I like how perks are unlocked.
Nioh, l love it, but man it gets brutally hard.
@ellsworth004 you playing new order or old blood? I didn't like old blood so much, lacks the narrative that made TNO great.
@kyleforrester87 the new order, just got throwing knives!
I haven't downloaded the old blood yet. I'll probably play through both of these and then maybe get the new one if I like them.
Finally started the Witcher 3 Complete. Wow, what a great game. Just crazy huge, though. I'm about 6 hours in and just finished the first area, didn't even come close to exploring everything in that town, just did quests and sidequests and a little bit of browsing. I'm sure this will take me forever to finish.
I'm generally not a fan of open world games, but this one does it right.
@Star-Lord Hey I have a question — I got a FIFA game a few years ago and was disappointed I couldn't create a team and just watch them play matches and through tournaments and such. I had to actually play the games. Is there some option to just watch now?
Dark Souls II rumbles on, not too far off the end of playthrough No.1 now, I feel. DLC after that.
@Star-Lord Bummer. I wonder if PES offers it.
@Gremio108 DS2 is highly underrated. The DLC is a bear, at least on the Scholar edition. But fun.
@IanSpoon No, but it can get pretty noisy with the fan. Sorry to hear it.
Picked up the Farpoint/ Aim controller bundle last weekend. Played that up until Mario came out on Friday, now its Mario time. Finished up the main story in Mario Saturday night, but there's so much more to do post-credits, I'll be at it for a long while yet. The rest of Farpoint is just gonna have to wait...
