PlayStation VR is nearing its first anniversary, but not everyone has had an opportunity to experience virtual reality for themselves yet. Sony knows that the best way to sell its fledgling new format is to get eyeballs on the technology, and its bringing back its nationwide tour starting today through the holiday season.
A whopping 200 Best Buy and GameStop locations across the United States will be running demos of Gran Turismo Sport, Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, SUPERHOT VR, Dino Frontier, Raw Data, and Voltron. You can find the nearest participating store to you through here – and those of you in Canada can look forward to various mall tours, too.

THIS.... this is what will increase sales! I went into a bestbuy last october and they had a demo unit. After about 5 mins with it i walked out the store with my own.
@RoyalGuard
I tried one at a Best Buy prerelease. Pre-ordered it after trying!
Would give it a go if my nearest store wasn't 3300 miles away!
Nice. Too bad the nearest location with a demo is around 100 miles away. If there is ever a bigger roll-out, I'll probably go check it out.
@lacerz @RoyalGuard Glad to see these comments. You definitely need to experience it to "get" it.
Paying for my half an hour in Game last year totally shot my negativity towards it to pieces.If I hadn't of had a hands on I wouldn't of bought one but I put that deposit down on one before I'd even taken the helmet off after playing and I'm still using it often.
So I was excited for VR but sceptic at the same time. Took a chance and plunged right in. Was instantly amazed. If u on a tight budget I would wait till Xmas or for next year but if not then you should seriously look into it.
Make sure to take some alcohol wipes, you don't want to get eye herpes from the display unit.
A price cut is all I need and I'm in. Don't wanna wait for a brack Friday bunduru but I may have to.
@Tasuki
I wipe mine down frequently. I almost wish I had head covers like Photon in the commercial laser tag days.
Is it free to try out unlike GAME? I thought it was disgusting when they were charging people £5 for 10 minutes to try it. They used to always have either an Xbox or PlayStation out on display so you could play on it and they never charged you then. It's like when you go to a supermarket and they have those free food samples that you can try before you buy and they suddenly start charging you 5p for a bit of crumb, you'd think they were having a laugh.
Do you need plenty of space to use PSVR? I've literally no room in the bedroom to move and flap my arms about, the bed takes up almost the entire space so I'm always either sat/laid on the bed.
@RoyalGuard On the contrary for me. The initial Best Buy demo is what made me cancel my original pre-order. I thought the demo was fantastic however by the end of it I felt nauseous.
100 miles away for me. Pass...
