It’s been a long, long time coming, but cyberpunk bartending sim VA-11 HALL-A will serve up its unique brand of visual novel drama on the PlayStation Vita in North America today. The title will release as a digital download for $14.99, but Limited Run Games has already confirmed a physical edition which will be the company’s “largest Vita run ever”. Exciting!
For those of you who don’t know, the game essentially sees you assume the role of a bartender in a small downtown bar. People will stop by to unload, and you’ll need to keep them lubricated, all while simultaneously extracting the most interesting stories from them. It’s a brilliant premise and a very well-liked game – it’s just a shame there’s no European date yet.

I hope this is still coming out in Europe, I've wanted to play this for ages.
Oh sweet. All the joys of being a cool, popular, man about town, without the unfortunate side effect of having to be cool, outside, or talking to people.
@johncalmc Loving your avatar BTW.
I want this game too. Seems bizzare that in the digital 2017 we have this 90's regional nonsense.
@get2sammyb Sometimes you just want to be a pizza.
@belmont Yeah it sucks. It's all down to ratings boards and translations I imagine.
@get2sammyb Yes, I have read comments from smaller teams about some issues with the rating system. In this particular case though, provided the Steam page is accurate, the title is english only and this might be the problem. I think that english only games don't sell to big markets like France or Germany.
Another hoping this comes out. Its so frustrating waiting without any news on the blog. The same happened with Deemo the last recital, which is something of a critical darling; released ages ago on vita in the US, and yet for us the wait continues...
Broke down and played it on PC earlier in the year, so I'll pass, but anyone who has yet to play this really ought to. Fantastic worldbuilding, evocative music, fun characters... definitely one of the best indies I've played in some time.
@Ralizah I'm actually reviewing this on my website. Anyways it's quite an enjoyable romp so far. I'm only an hour into game and I've already grown quite fond of this gem of an indie.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS FINALLY. I've been waiting for the Vita version of this for ages (and the Limited Run Games retail copy). Played on steam when it first came out. One of my favorite indies of the past few years!
