Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories will wreak havoc next year in Japan, developer Granzella has announced. The survival action game will see you assume the role of an everyman (either male or female) who must survive the aftermath of an earthquake. You may remember this franchise on the PlayStation 2; Disaster Report 4 was originally scheduled to release on the PlayStation 3, but the 2011 earthquake (which occurred a day before the title’s official release date) meant that it was eventually outright cancelled for the console.
For this version, Granzella has announced a partnership with the Kobe City Fire Bureau in order to help more accurately depict the events of a natural disaster. It’ll also feature an in-game disaster manual, which will purportedly double as valuable information both within the game and in case of real-life emergencies. There’s a new trailer embedded above.

I loved the 2nd game, where it was a flood. It had the best bad cover art. Hoping this gets an eng release!
I would have preferred a tie in with the upcoming Disaster Artist film where you get to play as Tommy and make the best bad movie ever, The Room. Press X to say, Oh Hi Mark.
Struggling to see the game here, to be honest. I’m also confused as to why anyone in Japan would actually want to play this!
Did you just wrote...Incredible Crisis? That PS1 masterpiece, my god! Press the buttons really fast on the elevator, good times...
Soooo, is this the Japanese version of what I Am Alive was meant to be?
So... it's a walking sim where you look at disaster-stricken areas?
I don't get it.
Hope it comes west. Id def get it. Loved the ps2 game
Enjoyed the wii one.
@sonicmeerkat That's a different thing. Disaster: Day of Crisis was an action game made by Monolith. This is part of a series of survival (think "survival horror" minus the horror, rather than the "hit a tree with a rock to get wood"-games that flood the bottom of the Steam barrel nowadays) games that were made by Irem, and are now made by the ex-Irem staffers that make up Granzella. They're a little janky and cheap, but super charming and unique. You could usually find in the bargain bin, but they were totally hidden gems - Good "mid tier" (AA) Playstation stuff
@Kasma88 You should check out a little of Game Informer's Super Replay for Raw Danger if you want to see the appeal. (Raw Danger was the second game in the series). They love this kind of game, and while there's plenty of fun to be had mocking it's production values, they are genuinely into it soon enough
