Assassin’s Creed is out! Call of Duty is out! Star Wars is almost here! Amazingly, we’re almost at the end of the holiday game-apocalypse, which is… Good news! It means that you should have lots to play, though, so what’s keeping you occupied this weekend? You know the dance by now.

I've headed to The Frozen Wilds in Horizon: Zero Dawn, an expansion which I can't really say much about yet. Hmm, what if I just randomly put my thumbs up for reasons completely unconnected to the previous sentence?

It's more Assassin's Creed Origins this weekend – fun in the sun and all that. Time permitting, I might try to sneak in some Tekken 7 as well. Don't want my elite level skills getting rusty.

After killing bucket loads of Nazis in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, it’s time for even more Nazi-killing action with Call of Duty: WWII, which will likely consume my whole weekend with the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies modes.

I’m back on review duty once more, this time getting stuck in to the glamorous world of trucks, mud, and haulage in Spintires: MudRunner. When I’m not carting timber across a boggy marshland, you’ll find me continuing my quest to catch up on Wolfenstein: The New Order before I play its sequel.

This weekend is going to be quite the busy gaming weekend for me. With the likes of Call of Duty: WWII, Super Mario Odyssey, and the recent acquisition of a SNES Classic I will be one busy gamer indeed.
What will be keeping your thumbs busy this weekend, then? Join the WAYP train in the comments section below.

Mario and Mario Kart on my new Switch mostly! Also Wolfenstein on PS4 which I'm nearly finished with, which is very good, but doesn't strike gold like The New Order did in my opinion.
Since I finished the absolutely fantastic Mario Odyssey, I'm to see if I can finish South Park The Fractured But Whole so I can finally get a start on Assassin's Creed Origins.
That and maybe some more Cuphead on the side.
Still chipping away at Horizon and Shadow of War. Also trying to get all the halloween specific items in Rocket League before Monday, only 3 more to go.
Assassin's Creed Origins for me. I just got it yesterday. Looks absolutely fantastic!
35 hours into Assassin's Creed Origins and I've still only discovered probably a third or so of the huge world. No idea how much of the story is left but most of my time has been spent ignoring it, for the most part. Such a massive and fun game.
I'm also playing GT Sport which I had no intention of getting, due to its complete lack of a real career mode. However since I received it for my birthday on Monday I've betrayed my pre-judgement of the game and found myself having a lot of fun. The online racing feels surprisingly relaxed and the campaign, though nowhere near as fleshed out as usual GT games, is actually pretty interesting and addictive.
Playing mario odyssey on switch, just upgraded my ps4 pro hdd to seagate firecuda 2tb, can't wait to finally install horizon zd and persona 5 . Plan to buy assassin creed origin but sadly the steelcase gold edition is out of stock on playasia
PES18 - Master League fun
Sonic Mania - onto the last zone as Tails finish that and I've done all 4 variants 100%
Wolfenstein New Colossus - having a blast at it
South Park Stick Of Truth - after platting FBW I've just dived into SoT again
Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles on 3DS, Yakuza Kiwami and Splatoon 2
Zelda for me this weekend...
@kyleforrester87 I assume you also have Zelda for your new Switch too?!?!
i might start working on my backlog, i have South Park The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, Final Fantasy VII, IX, X and XII, Rise of the Tomb Raider Blood Ties and Laras Nightmare, Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness, Sonic Mania, Assassin's Creed Chronicles India and Russia and that's just on the PS4
throw in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on Wii U, Resident Evil 6 on XB1, Pokemon Sun on 3DS i have more than my hands full
@Dodoo Not yet that's for Christmas!!
PS4: BioShock
PSVita: Ys Memories of Celceta
Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Odyssey
So I gave in & bought a Switch, but I'm working this weekend, so Mario may have to wait a bit.
The vita will remain my work companion so I'll continue on with Ys.
I also started up the Bioshock collection on PS4.
Super Mario Odyssey. See how much I can finish up before I finally start H:ZD on Tuesday.
Haven’t decided for sure but in addition to seeing Thor Ragnarok I’m probably going to finish Danganronpa 2 and start Shadow of Mordor. Yes that’s right, not Shadow of War ... I have yet to even play SoM. Picked up the GoY edition back on a PSN sale for $4.99 and just now getting to it.
I’m finally getting back into Horizon Zero Dawn since I stopped playing it because of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Mario Odyssey is soaking up a bunch of my time too.
@FullbringIchigo I enjoyed Assassin's Creed Chronicles India, preferred it to Russia. Not played the China one yet though...
@kyleforrester87 Good man!
I'm going to start Final Fantasy IX today, as well as trying to hook my Wii back up to play some Super Mario Galaxy.
Super Mario Odyssey.
Super Mario Odyssey. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Yakuza Kiwami on PS4.
Super Mario Oddysey
Halo MCC
South Park Fractured But Whole
I'll be trying to find all the gold bricks in Lego City UnderCover but the amount of times that game has crashed is beyond ridiculous so if I have to boot it up more than 3 times I'll move over Call Of Duty WWII (campaign and multiplayer) which I am enjoying a lot!
I'll also be playing the excellent Invisible Hours on Psvr plus the obvious ones like Super Mario Odyssey and The Witcher 3.
I'll be tying up loose ends in Horizon. Gettin ready for the Frozen Wilds.
The so far superb Yakuza 0 which I picked up in the PSN sale. Also some more Elite Dangerous. I've just bought a Python to go to my ship collection so I'll be fitting her up with some dirty drive tuning.
Just finished horizon and I'm too impatient to wait for the frozen wilds so I will start uncharted lost legacy first
Continuing the pure joy of playing Mario Odyssey. Also playing Splatoon 2 and the usual U3 mp with my bro. Some Isaac runs as well.
After trying to start the game a bunch of times and failing (mostly cause of work), I'll be running through HZD this weekend.
@Quintumply I took a look at mudrunners and watched the trailers (13 different vehicles, sock that GT). It looks different to say the least, and its cheap. Should I buy it though?
This weekend its all about Horizon Zero Dawn, finally over level 25 on my quest to find a 24 hour tescos as picking up sticks from the floor and beating on foxes isnt cool.
@seanobi what level on DC you at now mate? Cant believe you are still playing it.
Going to try and get through Wolfe 2 before HZD expansion drops but getting distracted by Mario.
@DerMeister Enjoy FF9. You played it before? I need to carry on with my save. Interested to hear your thoughts.
Finished Wolfenstein 2 earlier, what a flipping fantastic game!
Very disappointed by the trophy list though, going for achievable Platinums is what drags me back for multiple play throughs of games I enjoyed, but there are trophies bordering on the impossible this time around. As a result I have put the game on the shelf and will move on to something else, what a shame.
Just popped to Tesco to pick up Assassins Creed......I couldn't resist any longer, very disappointed in my lack of willpower, I wanted to wait for a few weeks yet 😁
@themcnoisy Been curious about that Mudrunners myself.I'm really into the show Ice Road Truckers and its got that same vibe..just missing the ice obviously
wolfenstein 2 and cod ww2
@Wazeddie22 Its openworld apparently so really unsure how it works, wherever you rescue other vehicles or are on timed races. If Stephen gives it a great review I will actually buy mudrunners rather than anything in the current sale!
I'm away all weekend for a wedding so not much gaming for me. I finished chapter 3 of Danganronpa V3 yesterday (what a bizarre conclusion to the trial!) so I'm going to play some Metroid Samus Returns as I've neglected it since Danganronpa came out.
If the COD servers would let me play more than one game before getting stuck on the loading screen I'd be playing that. So I've had to go back to AC:Origins and Mudrunner. Also tried out Fortnite, it's ok but no character customisation makes replayability boring. There's nothing to play for.
@kyleforrester87 Like FF7, this is my first run of FF9. I've always been itching to play it. I just got to the world map after exiting the Evil Forest. It's too early for me to judge anything, but I'm excited to play it through.
@DerMeister The translation in 9 is much better than 7 (and any other pre 10 instalment to be honest). Really makes the characters come alive!
Mainly VR got my play in Star Trek BC, finally got Aim controller so trying out Farpoint and bought Sparks for £12 will try to play some Wolfstein New Order tmw to work on my backlog
Damn spelllcorrect
Mario Odyssey which is fantastic and Assassins Creed Origins which is also fantastic.
The world created for Assasins Creed is phenomenal and the gameplay on the whole is far more enjoyable than the last two games. A real quality game and even the side missions are worthwhile.
Bit of fifa then back to darksiders 2 that I picked up in the Halloween sale. Still not sure I'm loving it but 12 hours in so need to see it through 🙂
Super Mario Odyssey and Prey on PS4.
@Dru196
Have you tried farpoint with the aim yet? Tempted but they don't seem to be supporting it well
Not a lot this weekend, maybe start a play through of Chrono Trigger on 3ds but from Monday eve I’ll be getting stuck into AC: Origins which I’m really excited about
@Deljo Yeah got FP with Headset bundle during sale in June, but didn’t play till I could get the aim bundle. It is great you just loose yourself in it. Only other game I have that supports it is Dick Wilde but hope to get others. Really hoping it gets more decent games. Also seems they’re supporting FP quite well with free DLC.
Caveat that am big fan of VR
Horizon, horizon, horizon, horizon, HORIZON!!!!!!
southpark the fractured butt whole..
More Super Mario Odyssey and will finally start Assassin's Creed: Origins.
Been loving Mario Odyssey. Trying to get all the moons after beating the story. Also got .Hack so gonna try and squeeze that in. Four twelve hours shifts in a row til Tuesday so not much playing time for me.
I'm ridiculously juggling six games with middle earth shadow of war,ac origins, wolfenstein new colossus,Styx shards of darkness, evil within 2 and just got cod ww2 today and loving the campaign. It's hard and I would say stupid that I'm doing this lol but also kind of cool because if I get bored of playing one games I just pop the other one in word up son
Mad Max. It's keeping me from playing anything else. That includes Dishonored 2 and MGS 5.
@themcnoisy I should have a review up within the next couple of days or so
CoD
I'm on the last mission of Dishonored 2 with Emily. I'm also playing again some Monster Hunter 3 U because the hype is real.
HZD. Great so far, with some jaw dropping visuals.
Super Mario Odyssey. The great thing about the game is that it gets even better once you beat the story!
I'm back at work today so only a little Injustice 2 if I have time when I get home. Yesterday I played episode 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy which was fun, should play 4 & 5 next Sat to finish it. Got through another good chunk of Fracture But Whole and of course Injustice. I'll be playing the game forever until I can get Cat Call for the platinum.
Anyone trying to play COD WWII on PS4 like me ?
Hahahahahahahaha. Good luck lol.
Chipping away at the Platinum trophy for Wolfenstein TNO. May start the old blood if I get tired of that.
@ellsworth004 did you like the ending?
So far it's been all Spintires, getting all the stars on the challenges before getting into the main game.
@kyleforrester87 I am actually at the very end, haven't beat it yet, the main character is so good I just dont want it to end, lol. Will probably finish it tonight. More games need to be this good.
