Well, you can’t say there’s nothing to play this weekend, can you? The release calendar has been absolutely stuffed to the gills with new releases this past month – many of which we’re still aimlessly wrestling PR to get review code for. Sigh. Still, the WAYP party rolls on regardless.

I’m not supposed to be, but I’m playing Assassin’s Creed Origins this weekend to pad out time while I wait for… Other titles to arrive. The good thing is that I’m thoroughly enjoying this game, so I’m certainly not opposed to wasting away my weekend in Egypt.

Yep, I'm still playing Assassin's Creed Origins – a game so massive that there are whole chunks of the map that I haven't properly visited even after spending close to 80 hours with it. Looking back, I never thought I'd enjoy Origins as much as I have. It's right up there with my favourite games of 2017. What a year!

With all the excitement around Assassin’s Creed Origins right now, I’ve decided to go back and play Syndicate instead since I already own it and never actually finished it. But it’s not the only thing I’ll play this weekend: I also have a wonderful little something called Super Mario Odyssey.

With the Sonic Forces review done and dusted, I can now get back to blasting Nazis in Wolfenstein: The New Order. In light of this month's PlayStation Plus offerings, I may also slip on some ballet shoes and pirouette through Bound.

With a double XP weekend going on in Call of Duty: WWII I will be playing mostly that. However I will also find some time to play Super Mario Odyssey as well as a bit of Super Mario RPG.
That’s what’s keeping us busy this weekend, then – but what about you? Take a break from your extended gaming sessions to share your itinerary in the comments section below.

I always get to this article early, I promise I don't spend my Saturdays hitting refresh on Push Square...!
More Switch this weekend with Mario, Mario Kart and Golf Story. Seriously this console is the business. My beloved PS4 hasn't really been on in 10 days. Nice to have a break from it actually but I promise I'll be back from the dark side soon.
Also I realised it's 11/11/17 so 6 years to the day since Skyrim dropped. Little factoid for you there.
Happy weekend kids!
Finished the main story of Mario Odyssey last night and I'm contemplating whether I wanna go and finish it 100% now or wait a while and then jump back in a few weeks down the road.
Other than that I'm planning on frustrating the hell out of myself while I continue to work through Cuphead.
As for PlayStation side of things, I still need to finish Uncharted's Lost Legacy so might try and boot that up tomorrow if I get chance. May need to hide FIFA 18 away somewhere so I don't keep getting tempted for "one more quick game" though.
Probably The Last Of US Remastered , and just trying to finish everything in Far Cry 4.
Assassin's Creed Origins and to battle a bit of a bad week in terms of my depression, I'm playing through Mass Effect for like the 10,000th time.
For the first time in a while, I'm giving my Switch a rest. I'll use it plenty in December when Xenoblade Chronicles 2 comes out. In the meantime, I'm working on my PC/PS4 backlog. The game I'm working on right now is SOMA.
PS4: Horizon The Frozen Wilds, Bioshock Infinite
PSVita: Ys Memories of Celceta
Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Odyssey
Practically drowning in games right now. Don't know how I'll get to all these, but I'm going to try.
Hopefully finish The Frozen Wilds so I can finally get back to Mario. Haven't touched my Switch in a couple of days & I only got it last week!
I'm living the luxury high life of a Yakuza - spending all my yen playing Outrun, Super Hang-On and Space Harrier in 80's arcades and paying to watch 'erotic' videos.
@kyleforrester87 picked up Wolfenstein the new Colossus, holy crap it's good, but anyway I may play that this weekend
I’m getting into Shadow of Mordor. I had been sitting on this game in my backlog for a while. Only a few hours into it but so far it really is the mutated love child of a Batman Arkham game and Assassin’s Creed. And, alas, playing SoM has made me miss HZD so I might play that a little when I get too depressed from the dreary world of Mordor.
And then if I get in the mood I’ll mix in a few weeks of Japanese high school life via Persona 5.
Probably won't have time to play anything, as I'll be working and babysitting all weekend. It's all good though.
Finally got round to finishing Shadow of the Beast. Need not have bothered, it's a chore of a game. Apart from that I'll likely be slaughtering Ubercommandant scum in Wolfenstein or punching Emperor Calus in his big fat face on Destiny 2.
@ellsworth004 i really should finish that, swear I'm gunna try and finish that this weekend then!!
Story of Seasons Trio of Towns .... What can I say amazing how much is packed in on a tiny cartridge.
And portable too.
My 1st handheld was Game Watch Nintendo Octopus a round battery and LCD screen the advancement is scary.
Having hammered COD: WW2 since launch I am enjoying a little Borderlands 2 again
@KratosMD It's OK so far. The atmosphere and sound design are great, but the dialogue is a bit too on the nose, the ocean exploring bits are boring, and the screen flickering whenever you look at that one monster is more annoying than scary. It reminds me a lot of Bioshock, though, which is always a good thing.
I am feeling all poorly today so prob just some chilled out moon collecting in Odyssey and if I can, maybe more HZD Frozen Assets.
Having only had my romantic reunion with Aloy recently most of my time will be keeping her happy in The Frozen Wilds but I'll also be playing some Lego Undercover (only 100 gold bricks to find),The Invisible Hours VR looking for the last few trophys,Mario Odyssey and Piczle Lines
Street Fighter V, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, and Uncharted Lost Legacy for the PS4. Super Mario Odyssey and a few Neo Geo games on Switch.
@Rudy_Manchego Hope ya feeling better mate
@kyleforrester87 they really are good games though, story is great, characters are great, and there is alot to do in them.
Wolfenstein, hellblade, frozen wilds, mortal combat xl...
I'll be playing Mario Odyssey and Doom on Switch and Simon's Destiny Doom mod on PC, which is an excellent recreation of the original NES Castlevania, music and all but in Doom, highly recommended for any retro gaming fan out there
Deliberately throwing myself down lift shafts in the vague hope there's an item at the bottom, Dark Souls II.
@Wazeddie22 Thanks mate. Netflix weekend I think.
After beating Odyssey I am now going back to get more moons. I would like to start something, either KH2 or Horizon. Maybe play some League Battles on Splatoon 2. I tried it last Sunday and had a blast.
Super Mario Odyssey again.
Assassin's Creed Origins for me. Man, this game is great. If I have time, maybe some Everybody's Golf.
@b1ackjack_ps If u need any help or just want to play some co op let me know. Nioh is so good.
Still playing knack 2 on ps4, mario odyssey on switch.
I’ve not got too much game time this weekend so I’ll probably hop on and off cod WWII between life. I’m enjoying the game so far and starting to get used to the change in style
@kyleforrester87 I agree. The Switch is probably the first Nintendo Console I have owned since the Gamecube that will be getting as playtime on it as my PS4. Yes I owed a Wii and Wii U, but I hardly played those. The Switch though I am finding that that I have been playing just as much as the PS4 as of late.
@carlos82 Picked up Simon's destiny last night, can't wait to get it started!
Other than that I'll probably keep at HZD.
More Danganronpa! I've just finished Chapter 4. I started Uncharted 4 the other day and reckon I'm halfway through-ish, but will play more during the week. The car chase in Madagascar was pretty thrilling!
HZD NG+ 24/7
I want to say Horizon Zero Dawn:Frozen Wilds. I did buy and download it.
But I started a new file on Pikmin 3 and get so hooked every time. I still love that game, despite having played it several times.
Battlefield 1, waiting for la noire
Xenosaga now that I beat metal face. Animal Crossing maybe and some form of Yakuza game on PS4
Fallout 4 and Pyre on PC and probably Nioh on PS4
@Gremio108 Just curious, are you a Grêmio supporter?
I bought Wolfenstein 2 yesterday, and i'm still playing Prey and Super Mario Odyssey.
I suddenly got super into GTAV again so I've been playing that alot but I'm still jumping around in 7 Days To Die a lot
Been playing need for speed payback, the evil within 2, assassins creed origins and halo 5
Just Mad Max
I got the platinum trophy for Until Dawn earlier today, so I'm done with that game for now. That was fun.
Also going to play some Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds, and maybe some Etrian Odyssey V or the old Tomb Raider 3 if there's time.
@PS_Nation No, Blackpool actually. Not quite as exotic! Although it has been an interesting week for us.
So very close to platinum in Salt & Sanctuary: about 60% of one more playthrough and that bastard of a tutorial boss left to go. After that something sweet, I think.
@PS_Nation I bought Wolfenstein 2 Thursday, from what I've played so far, which hasn't been that much, it's very good
@fontainelefunk which boss is that?
@ellsworth004
That would be the one on the deck of the ship during that awful storm. You get one chance to off it per save, so dying means creating a new character to re-try.
Legend of cold steel 2 on the vita. Over 90 hours now. But must be getting close to the end.
Super mario odyssey on the switch. Liking it.
I am still spending more time on the vita then the switch.
@RedMageLanakyn who'd have thought playing Doom with a whip would be so much fun, let us know what you think of it
@fontainelefun yeah I own the game, that boss is beatable?
i bought life Is Strange : Before The Storm last week so i`ll play it soon , just hope it will be good as last one! i feel worried at this way and i don`t know why i feel i may hate it,
anyway , the last of us MP making me feel alive. i think i`ll take that too for weekend.
And a game from last GEN: ICO !
@Johnnycide oh you didn't like shadow of the beast I really liked it especially once you unlock all the languages
Odyssey and DOOM on Switch, mostly. Would like to pick away at Farpoint some as well, but to be honest, the VR is a pain in the ass to set up and I'm lazy...
@ellsworth004 Indeed, and it's worth a trophy.
