Outside of anime-based titles, fighters, and a handful of Japanese role-playing games, it feels like opening movies are becoming less and less common. Fortunately, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is here to pick up the slack with what we think is probably the flashiest opening movie on the PlayStation 4. Just look at all those explosions and particle effects!
The clip features every character in the game as the forces or order and chaos square off against each other. Even if you're not a huge fan of Final Fantasy, it's well worth a watch for the spectacle alone.
Dissidia NT is due out on the 30th January, adding to an already packed month for Sony's system. Will you be picking it up? Tell us who you plan on maining in the comments section below.

Looks pretty awesome. I'd buy it, but I sadly have only completed Final Fantasy 7 and 15. I got most of the way through 6, but stopped at the second half because it felt too tedious.
@NinjaWaddleDee no worries it only has characters for the games, it don't cover the stories or anything like that
Brilliant!Shame it's not a proper rpg though.I don't really like fighting games so will give this a miss.
I love that song. I can't say I'm all that excited for this game... but mostly because I'm waiting for reviews. I'm a bit worried it will be somewhat light on content compared to Dissida 012.
Great opening, I hope the game has single player story mode, there's noctic trailer on ps website, it will be really cool if we play as him in the story mode.
That's a helluva intro.
Dissidia games always have great intros. Tidus kicking Vaans pyrocasm back at Kefka like a blitzball though...god damn i am excite! And that theme music mmmmm
You can always count on Squenix for great CGI
Square certainly know how to do an opening.
I had dropped this game from my wishlist originally when I heard there wasn't a single player story, but this opening movie and the Noctis video have reawakened my hype for Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT !
