Remasters are in vogue again, so Ubisoft’s opted to port Shay Patrick Cormac’s maiden voyage to the PlayStation 4 this coming 20th March. As the name suggests, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will revive the 2014 open world adventure for Sony’s new-gen system, offering improvements such as “higher resolution, improved environment rendering, visual effects and textures”. It’ll all be presented in 4K on the PS4 Pro, or a crystal clear 1080p if you own the base console.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is best known for telling its tale from the perspective of the Templars, but it was overlooked at launch as it released on the PlayStation 3 when the PS4 was already at full-mast. We liked it, though, awarding it a 7/10 in our review and concluding: “It feels like a really expansive piece of DLC that’s loaded with things to look at and places to go while acting as a solid continuation of a successful story."

damn, that add to March for more games to buy but i am not buying this game tho
I am glad to hear this because it is the only AC game I haven't played yet.
Does a game that came out 4 years ago really need a remaster? I guess it's fine, it just seems a little soon. Games don't age THAT quickly.
Im glad this turned out to be true. Just need the burnout paradise one to be real aswel and il be happy
I like how this is a teaser trailer for a game that came out a million years ago.
Maybe it's just me, but this industry goes mental with re-releases and remasters these days...
But... I also pre-ordered Shadow of the Colossus...
@Octane Ahh, but that one's a remake.
@KirbyTheVampire i think it's more because when it came out most people ignored it (myself included) because of the next gen systems so this "remaster" is just Ubisoft having another go at it
Good news. At this rate, maybe even the first game will get re-released. Been meaning to start this franchise since the movie sold me on it.
Finally! Been waiting for this
@get2sammyb True, remakes can play like new games, and SOTC is an old game. I have no problem with those kinds of rereleases.
@nhSnork you know i still haven't got round to watching that movie yet
Shay Patrick Cormac......they really went hard with the irish name haha. Duno if i could play this if the irish accent is bad!
@FullbringIchigo I suppose that's true. It seems like games get resold a little too much, but I understand that game development is a business, first and foremost.
imo i expected it to be a really mediocre game because everyone was hating unity and nobody even bothered with it,but it was surprisingly good.
Riding on the coattails of Origins?
only better games are 2 and 4.
Thanks for the update! I look forward to playing this on PS4 after I beat AC4 .
