Well, would you look at that? Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George just took to the PlayStation Blog to announce a brand new pair of PlayStation-themed sneakers set to release globally on 10th February. Officially entitled Nike PG-2 ‘PlayStation’ Colorways, the shoes sport “illuminating” tongues that pulsate just like the PlayStation 4 itself.
That’s not all: the back heel includes a barcode which when redeemed on the PlayStation Store will unlock a bonus Paul George dynamic theme for your PS4, while the shoes leverage the colours of the DualShock’s iconic face buttons in the lace area and on the sides. While these could have comfortably been a disaster, we actually love the way they look.
“I consider myself one of the biggest gamers in the NBA,” said Paul George. “Ever since getting my PS2 for Christmas as a kid, my game has gone with me wherever I go, so working with PlayStation was something that felt inevitable.” You can learn more about the trainers via the Nike SNKRS app, which can be downloaded through here.

Must be the funny season, Nintendo announce a cardboard toy now Sony announce PlayStation trainers.
Buy a pair and store them for 20 years! They’ll be worth a fortune
I think they look really nice personally. The illuminating logo is maybe a bit much, but I like the colours and the galaxy pattern.
Too bad I only wear Yeezys.
@Constable_What I only wear Croc.
Will every Nike store have them or are they limited edition?
@PS_Nation ...
You win this one.
They actually look pretty good. Agree the illuminating logo is a bit much for me.
Stupid. Look nice though.
@DLB3 Actually Paul George has the cheapest signature sneakers of any NBA athlete. RRP will be around USD$100 or so.
Quite cool. Not sure I'd be bold enough to wear those outside they are a bit flashy for me!
@WanderingBullet
Limited edition.
@lacerz Ah, ok. Thanks.
I like these. Bad thing is, for someone who walks everywhere like me, shoes can get worn out quick. I'd get them, but they'd only last maybe 2 years max.
These will be a good collectors item.
Wow. I seem to be the only person that thinks they look awful haha.
@SoulChimera 2nd you on that. I like was Sony does for gaming... but brand worshipping... nah
I've no idea who Boy George is but I gotta get me a pair of them sneaks.
@tameshiyaku PlayStation is amazing for gaming but I've yet to see any merchandise that I would buy. Don't get me wrong, I really want to, I love PlayStation, but it's always tacky looking crap. Same with their special edition consoles and controllers.
Come to think of it, their web sites and store fronts are usually poorly designed too. Maybe they need to find a new agency.
I am sorry but they are butt ugly, Suppose I have better standards.
