Makoto is great but Alucard just has to go through. He's the Blade of video games. Symphony of the Night deserves a remaster.

Ouch. Makoto or Alucard??!??!! I guess Alucard inches it for being so cool and a half-vampire, but still.

Monokuma was an easy choice and I haven't played Destiny or any Witcher games so left that.

Sonic's great and all. I loved those simple Mega Drive days when he was just a speedy blue 'hog with an attitude. Then when they tried to give him more characterisation he ended up having unseemly relations with a human princess. So I voted Yangus.

Makoto because Alucard’s name is dumb and overused even if he’s a cool character. Ooo Dracula backwards, so clever...lame. Like naming a black dog Blackie. Terrible.

I only voted for Makoto. She's a good character despite all the "best wiaf" comments.

@Tasuki Yes. And it was terrible then too. Actually the whole Son of Dracula was pretty terrible. Just because something is classic, and influences other (sometimes better) works in its genre, doesn't mean it stands the test of time or that it's objectively good.

Edit: Also, it can be clever in its earliest usage and then be overused and cliche later. Vampire fiction loves the "clever" name Alucard. Ugh.

C'mon Jacket! Hotline Miami is amazing but I goes real gamers prefer Teddy Ruxpin.

Apart from Monokuma, my votes were all opposite of the majoirty...

Monokuma and Yennefer were easy choices. However, despite me being a massive Sega fanboy, just about all of Sonic's games on PlayStation (other than Sonic Mania and some older re-releases which I don't count) have been utter cack, so can't vote for him here. Also went for Alucard over Makoto just because Symphony of the Night is one of my favourite PS games of all time. And while I do love Persona, Makoto isn't one of my favourite characters.

@hi_drnick To be fair, Jacket can be taken out by a stiff breeze, and I say that as someone who loves Hotline Miami.
