Once again proving that there's a real thirst for deep role-playing games, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has passed 1 million sales across all platforms. The dramatic tale of peasants, knights, and war launched only nine days ago, so that's a pretty good result for developer Warhorse Studios.
Of course, what's also impressive is that this is a game which has been funded from various different angles over the years. It's been a hugely ambitious project from top to bottom, and to see it do so well is great. You can achieve your dreams and all that.

Impressive numbers.
I did contribute to it and I don't regret it! It's an awesome game and I'm really happy that it's selling well.
I really didn't expect this to sell so well.
Wait whaaaaat? XD ok then!
The game is definitely hilarious
I really hope people make more realistic RPGs, need more dung crusted peasants that DON'T have to fight dragons in my life.
very happy for the developers of this brilliant game, really didn't expect these numbers with it being a unknowing team, not a fantasy setting and no hand holding
No. Maybe for the two million though. I have way too many games right now.
Seeing the Digital Foundry video for this game, I found the pop in and texture map 'jumps' to be really obvious and jarring. I know it happens on all open world type games, but it just looked exceptionally bad in those videos. Were they just showing the very worst bits or is that what it's like?
@GravyThief By most accounts it's a very janky game that can be a mess to play. The overall game seems engaging enough to distract you from its technical problems, though.
I think if you're interested it's probably worth waiting to see how much can be fixed with patches at this point.
Haven't bought it yet but one day I will. Probably when it costs around 15 euro.
Man, this game is brilliant! As a history geek from Croatia (king Sigismund is king of Hungary and Croatia) I fell in love with the setting and amount of detail in this game.
@ShogunRok thanks. It's my Dad (!!) who's actually interested (he's retired so has plenty of time to get stuck into it), but I warned him to watch some videos of it first in case it's something that bothers him. Of course in today's world of patches the game in 3 months time might look completely different.
Not my type of game but fair play, even through its jankiness, I am pleased to see something a little different from the norm getting a good showing.
Very impressive. Going to wait for them to fix some of the issues first myself, and possibly a sale.
I’m gonna give this a try, but I have so many games to play right now that I’m gonna wait until it gets fixed a little
I didn't know about until the review popped up, and I peruse PS and NL daily.
Still, great news to hear.
I haven't contributed yet but will in 5-6 months when it's about £28 , im just beginning Dishonoured today and maybe some time .
Glad it's a success. Games like these are quite rare.
was going to be a day one buyer until I read a few reviews.
so I'm going to hold off for a few more patches but will buy at some point.
