The third video in DONTNOD's Vampyr development series is out now, which we've embedded for you above. Entitled 'Human After All', this episode focuses on the myriad citizens that populate 1918 London.
With the moral quandary of who to kill and when being a central point to the game, it's good to hear that each NPC has a story, connections to other people, and consequences for causing their demise. We're told that you don't gain XP from combat, but instead gain it by drinking the blood of your victims. This necessitates murdering innocent people, but giving each character an ounce of depth means things won't be that straightforward.
Sink your teeth into the video, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

An interesting concept... Should make for replayability too as drinking the blood of different victims should result in different consequences...
This video pretty much sums up why I'm execited for this game. There are several advantages of making narrative driven games on a smaller scale and this is definitely one of them.
This game has been in development since the ps1 right?
The more I see of this game the more interested I get, so it does seem to follow my hopes and expectations. If the Vampire-thing is going to work for me, I need something narrative-driven.
@AFCC I know, right? Let's get a release date already. I don't need a dev diary to know I want this game.
Buying this one day 1
@Yowza I thought for sure this was already canceled lol
it's a great idea,and seems rather promising!
would realy want a steady release date though. here's hoping that they will announce it in the last dev diary.
