Space Channel 5, the legendary SEGA Dreamcast rhythm release, is making a return on virtual reality headsets this year – and we’re crossing everything for a PlayStation VR port. Set to debut in Japanese arcades this spring ahead of a formal launch for HTC Vive, the title will see you assume the role of a newbie reporter, as you must dance alongside pink-haired protagonist Ulala to save the world from mysterious dancing aliens. Left, right, chu, chu, chu.
For those of you still wet behind the ears, Space Channel 5 first launched in 1999 for SEGA’s ill-fated 128-bit box, and it was bloody brilliant. Seriously, 12-year-old Sammy thought this was the best game ever at the time. It was later ported to the PlayStation 2 after SEGA went third-party, and a sequel was released as well.

What I like about VR is the new ways that developers are coming up with to make me look like a complete tool when wearing the headset.
See Sega? You have more IPs than Sonic and Yakuza. Keep digging them up.
I'll buy this in a second if it happens. Rez Infinite is stunning on PSVR, I'd love to see Cosmic Smash, too, if they're working their way through Dreamcast titles for VR conversion. Sparc and, to an extent Superhot, have both proven the format works
Ha, I bought this game for my dreamcast years ago, I think sega should remaster it not only for psvr, but ps4 too
Will Michael Jackson still be in it?
Now moloading...
