David Jaffe is in the process of shutting down The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, which developed the divisive Drawn to Death. You may remember earlier in the year there was a project cancellation which prompted a “vast majority” of the staff to be laid off. Now the organisation is no more.
A sad part of the story is that the studio’s giving away various props from past titles like Twisted Metal to fans in the South California area. Even though Drawn to Death was largely disliked, it’s sad to see the studio end in this manner, and we hope that everyone lands on their feet. It’ll be interesting, particularly, to see what Jaffe does next.

And they were making a VR Iron Man game so it's a shame really.
@adf86 Is that true? I didn't know that.
Can't believe they're giving away all that stuff. I'd head down there after work but I'm sure most if not all of the stuff is gone by now.
Really sad to see them shut down though and looking forward to David Jaffe's next project.
@get2sammyb Sadly yes, I saw it on Sixthaxis, maybe David Jaffee tweeted it. They didn't have approval from Marvel but they were prototyping it with the hope of pitching it to them but alas.
One of the worst games I've ever played
I wouldnt be surprised if the name was what destroyed the company
@DLB3 well...just giving my 2 cents! (Thanks doctommaso) It's a shame studios close, but you know...
Shame to hear this. I honestly kinda liked Drawn to Death. They had big plans, and it's very sad to hear them go out like this. Hope everyone ends up okay, especially David Jaffe.
Everythings closing today. Toys r us, maplins, chimi changa and some prezzo places. Crazy day.
@AFCC I think you mean two cents. lol But anyway, I didn't think you came off rude, it's just a fact, and it is likely what caused their downfall.
*TAPS music plays in the background *
@doctommaso I knew that sounded bad ahah! It wasn't my intention to be rude, i just saw the image and remembered how actuallly hyped I was for the game and hoe frustrated I was after playing it! Ok maybe it's not the WORST game but it's one of the worst!
@DLB3 sometimes I don't fully express myself! My bad! It's ok doing a bad game, every other developer does it sometimes and it doesn't mean it has to close because of it...but this industry is getting brutal, you either do a proper thing or you don't get another chance! Unless you're bungie lol
@sajoey I really liked it, too. I understand why people dislike it, but I'm always surprised by how much people hate it.
I think they should make new medium budget twisted metal in the style of 2 rather than drawn to death, make it a gaas like rocket league.
I hope david back to sony and make twisted metal games again.
Well, when one door closes another one opens. I personally greatly disliked Drawn to Death, but I thought it was a neat concept. I hope they land on their feet.
Drawn to death was a free game, yes?
