EA has uploaded a new trailer for Burnout Paradise Remastered ahead of its impending launch next week, and you can check it out above.
It certainly focuses on what makes Burnout such a beloved series - high speeds, tasty drifts, big air, and wanton destruction - and it's effective, getting us here at Push Square Towers revved up for the re-release.
That's not to say the game is without problems. It's clear from the trailer that the remaster effort is relatively minimal compared to, say, the work of Bluepoint Games on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. That's not to say the game looks bad, but it's a shame that EA hasn't gone the extra mile to earn your £35, a price that is undeniably steep for what we're getting. It's a real quandary, because Burnout Paradise is a fantastic game, as this trailer illustrates, but will that be enough on its own for people to hand over £35? We're not sure.
What do you think? Has this Burnout Paradise Remastered trailer heightened the hype for you? Will you be buying the game next week, or holding onto your dosh until further down the road? Corkscrew through a billboard into the comments below.

It ain't cheap but considering how much fun it is and how much content there is, I don't think it's overpriced
It would be out much later in the year if they'd gone the extra mile. Me.. Not fussed. I've loved this game in the past. Still looks great.
One tip though folks. CDKEYS is your friend 😉
I played it last night on Xbox One X and even on that it looks like an old game and the city is a ghost town, it always was but this is highlighted much more from playing the likes of Forza Horizon or any recent Need for Speed. The racing is still quite fun but the open world is empty and bland and a bit of a chore to drive around, it really would have benefited from some extra work or remaster earlier games in the series which were just plain better.
I should also say that I preferred the earlier games even back then and really missed the Crash mode from those
I pre-ordered - only cost me £26.20 (£28.95 - £2.75 in points) at the GameCollection. I enjoyed the game on last gen - can even play it on my XB1 via BC too but I never bought any of the DLC so that is another reason to buy.
I agree they could of gone further but it was a fun game before and as so many people like to say, a good game is a good game regardless of visuals....
I am going to buy this as I loved the burnout games on gamecube and PS2. I missed burnout paradise on PS3 as only picked up a PS3 Dec 2016, mostly to play some back catalogue of MGS & fallout. As good as need for speed most wanted & rivals is, the genre needs a shake up. Bring back the crashes. Hopefully sales of burnout paradise are good and Criterion may consider a new burnout game for PS4.
I think these remasters start off on too high of a price point, but makes since from the developer/Sony's perspective since there will be inevitable price drops.
I find I have to out weigh time over money. Do I need to play Burnout Paradise on my PS4 when I already have it and all DLC on my PS3? Probably not. Am I going to buy it eventually when it drops to 50% off or more?
Of course!
I'm still getting it because I love the game, but it's definitely too expensive. Should be £20.
It's good to see some Burnout love but this is the worst game in the series. Bring back Burnout Revenge.
Already price dropped £30 on Amazon
Will wait till it drops in price. Last gen game so not so desperate to play so can wait till it's around £15.
Looks dated!
But still the game was great fun back in the day
The price is high for the absolute minum effort they put in. We really need a new Burnout instead of the crap that NFS is.
@SirRealDeal I loved Burnout 3. 😁😀
@hi_drnick consider how old it is and what the original would cost right now...
Nah, I don't have any interest in this. It needs to be a very special game for me to replay it and spend money to do so. The fact EA couldn't even be bothered to put any effort into this solidifies my apathy.
£20 I would have bought it first day but the remaster really is the pc version that's it, it probably didn't even get much of a touch up to be honest looking at that trailer. I find it's the pc code which just gives a solid 60fps but it's still a fun game with friends but will get it on sale
I'm waiting for a PSN sale but it's defo on my radar, preferred BO3 Takedown though.
Pre-ordered it yesterday. Had tremendous fun with it last gen. And with NFS being utter crap these days I just had to support it.
And.. with this being remastered I have high hopes for a NFS Underground remaster. The first that is, not the 2nd open world Underground.
Dude, it's EA. Not in the slightest. I'm expecting to be some other caveat other than a lazy port.
...yeah, been playing this over the weekend as part of EA early access (free 10 hours) - yes, it's the BP we all remember, but it does look (and feel) dated though... nice to have the extra island and bikes... it's an incredibly lazy effort though (port-wise) - still handles magnificently... it definitely shows that the NFS franchise needs to go back to basics (no story, smaller playable area and more 'racing' less 'fluff') extra 10% too with EA pass, so I'll no doubt pick it up for a fun little race around...
I can pop this in my 360 right now and play it without giving EA anything for their "remaster". Seems to be just an uprez, so forget it.
$15 too much... loved this game though
EA proves that PS3 games with minimal effort will run on PS4. Backward compatibility now Sony. That would make PS+ worth it's price.
