AO Tennis launched alongside the Australian Open earlier in the year, but it was a limited release that received dismal reviews. Now developer Big Ant is back for another crack, renaming the title AO International Tennis ahead of its worldwide launch on 8th May.
And one feature that will be bundled in this re-release is a complete court creator, allowing you to recreate the famous venues at SW19 – or your local tennis club. It all looks fairly fleshed out, although we’re not sure how much use you’ll get out of it. Nice addition, though, we suppose?

@get2sammyb have you played much of this game since your original review? Has it got much better? What is the creation suite like in terms of making decent likenesses of any players not in the game etc? I know Big Ant do have good FanHub modes in RLL and DBC which really add to the game, a la PES option files.
@tomassi I never played it to begin with. It only came out in Australia and I couldn't get a code.
@get2sammyb my mistake, I thought it had a review on this site. I don't know why games companies rush release and get terrible reviews. It's not often that websites go back and re-evaluate once they have given their initial reviews, so it must have a big effect on sales if initial reviews are bad, even if the game ends up being decent after updates etc.
@tomassi I guess they had to get it out for the Aussie Open, but I agree.
Tennis court Creator, that seems very limited.
