Yep, it's that time of the month again. Sony has unveiled which games PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting in May 2018, and in our opinion, it's a solid selection. On PlayStation 4, you're getting Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends.
Elsewhere, PlayStation 3 users can, er, look forward to Risen 3: Titan Lords and Eat Them, while Vita enthusiasts nab King Oddball and Furmins. King Oddball is cross-buy across all platforms, so you can download and play that on PS4 and PS3, too.
What do you make of May's selection? Give us your honest opinion in the comments section below.

Looking forward to Beyond to souls,Rayman games aren’t my thing but for free you can’t complain. Thanks Sony
Odd choice. If Sony are trying to entice people to buy Detroit, wouldn’t Heavy Rain be a better choice seeing as its widely believed to be better than Beyond? Unless it’s already been on PS plus? But Rayman is a gem.
Been tempted to pick up Rayman for a while and I'll gladly play through Beyond: Two Souls as well as it's the only Quantic Dream title I haven't played. The PS3/Vita offerings are pretty weak, though.
I really don't like Quantic Dreams games and Beyond Two Souls is perhaps the worst of them in my opinion so won't bother with that. I have Rayman Legends on my Xbox as that was given away free on Gold years ago and its what you expect a Rayman game to be so its not a great month for me.
Rayman is top notch
Wait a minute... is Beyond Two Souls the one where you press 'X' to Jason? Or is that Heavy Rain? I've never played a Quantic Dream title. All in all though, I do think this is another high-quality month for PS4. I'm glad both the PS4 and Xbox are getting good subscription offerings.
I recommend giving Beyond: Two Souls a try. There's some great chapters in there and the acting is quality. I enjoyed it just as much as Heavy Rain.
Rayman is great!...But sadly I have it already and already played Beyond Two Souls on ps3...although not that I'm a Trophy hunter but if it has a different list i may d/l it.
The others are meh.
Would of preferred Heavy Rain over Beyond Two Souls but cant complain have been tempted a few times to pick up Rayman in a few sales glad I held out saved me some money.
Rayman is a masterpiece. One of the best 2d platforms I've ever played. Nothing else really interests me but solid month for those that don't have them, gives me a chance to work on the ps plus backlog!
Was always curious about Beyond: Two Souls, so this works... I guess.
Rayman Legends is fantastic, but I already own it.
The Vita gets shovelware, of course.
@Turismo4GT 'jason'...'Jason!'....'JASON!!' Ooops, yeah that's from Heavy Rain unfortunately.Best part of it too lol
Got two souls but loved rayman. Especially the level with black betty song remixed in one of the levels
Beyond: Two Souls is a really weird game. Like, there are some absolutely brilliant scenes in it, and Ellen Page acts her heart out, but the overall plot is absolutely barmy.
If you haven't played it, your body is not ready for the insanity.
Wow another unlucky month for me! 2 games I already own...sad! Cool for you guys that don't have them Beyond is a goodish game and Rayman is super good!
Already have rayman legends, maybe I'll try beyond.
Beyond two souls is excellent
Another good month for PS4 owners, another weak month for PS Vita and PS3 months.
Great!! Beyond 2 soul sounds very interesting.
Personally I prefer that Plus would offer more "hidden" gems, less famous games such as Bound and Rime, but can't complain, really enjoyed the selection in the last few months when I first joined Plus, and I guess most people are happier with well known games...
Sony gives us really good games this year. Keep it up
Great choice beyond Two souls was one of my favourite games on PS3. Have it on PS4 but happy it will get a wider audience now.
Amazing month; Rayman Legends which I miss dearly since trading it a couple of years ago and I finally get to try a David Cage (thats the boss aint in?) game. Great.
Rayman is apparently great so I'll give that a go. Beyond a joke is most certainly not my cup of tea. A solid choice, certainly, but not for me.
Good month although never really took to Beyond. Big disappointment after how much I adored Heavy Rain. Only things I remember from Beyond was following a little white dot around, going to an Indian reservation and something to do with looking around some homeless guys cardboard home in search of a tramp?? ... or something like that?!
beyond two souls is not a bad offer.
have not played it yet so that's a plus.
@Clutch_Nixon if only it included willem dafoe's abnormaly sized dong
I enjoyed Beyond, but your choices didn’t have any real impact on how the game played. I think there were a total of three chapters that had any influence on the ending, and replaying those three were all that was needed to get all the trophies.
At least they gave us the option to play it in chronological order. The flash forwards and backwards made the timeline very confusing.
Sony is trying to make sure that we don't miss getting PS3 and Vita games.
Not such a great month imo, although I already own both the PS4 games so I guess I like it overall. It's essentially just 2 PS3 games ported over though.
Nice to see some kind of theme with a Quantic Dream game on PS+ the same month Detroit is released.
Good selection for me.
Beyond is neat although it may take a while before I get to it; I suspect I might still try LiS first of this genre bunch. Like RiME, Rayman Legends is on Switch so I won't deny I'd prefer Risen 3 to land on PS4 as well instead, but hey. Switch is also where I'm close to wrapping up King Oddball by now (a fun title, by the way), so I guess it'll be primarily Furmins for me to try first. Although I'm surprised Vita got essentially two physics-based puzzles at once.
Both great games, even if I have only played their prequels(rayman origins & heavy rain).
I guess they didn't give heavy rain because it's free with the pre-order of Detroit and didn't want to cut any sales from it.
Throwaway third tier games. Not bad but not noteworthy
Two good games, played both and have both platinums. That's how much I liked the games.
@get2sammyb @antdickens I cant get in the mobile site plus when i post a comment i sometimes have to reload the page to see the other comments.
This is good for me! I was just reading someone’s ( @KratosMD I think it was who just finished it) impression of Rayman Legends in the forums and thinking I really need to try that. Good timing. Also will probably try Beyond 2 Souls, have always wanted to try it. It will satisfy my Quantic Dreams curiosity for now and save me from getting Detroit just yet.
@Flaming_Kaiser Not sure why that's happening but copying @antdickens in.
Not really my cup of tea, I'll wait for the next month to renew my PS PLUS membership. Specially when Tennis world tour is coming and multiplayer is a must.
Rayman is an excellent game, but I couldn't finish Two Souls – Cage may be able to construct an interactive mystery (story, direction, nuts and bolts), but I am not sure he really gets people.
Very happy to have Beyond, been wanting to try that for a while
Really enjoying Rayman Origins on the Vita so very happy with Legends. I’m sure it will deliver as well.
Two Souls seems to divide opinion so I’ll take the opportunity and try it myself some time.
Both games are great, another solid month.
Not my cup of tea, but I hope the community enjoys it. Very French 😄
Rayman, yes! BTS, nope.
Beyond is my favourite game of all time (all time makes sense in this case). In addition to the ps3 versions I already had, I bought the Heavy Rain/Beyond Collection on ps4 and I don't regret it. Had to reward them for their excellent work, especially Ellen Page and her absolutely fantastic VA.
Played Rayman Legends on ps3, but didn't buy it on ps4 so this is great news for me. Risen 3 seems decent, though I doubt I'll ever play it.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi well I can at least say that i learned something today. Dafoe has a magnum dong.
Wether the PS3 for free games is getting dropped in a year they could have at least maybe given out a better game(s) for its last hurrah I mean PS3 is old and what not but at least give owners of just that console some decent triple a games for it. There's a huge catalog of decent games compared to Risen 3 for god's sake
Rayman Legends must be one of my favourite platform games of all time. Though, I've already played it 100% on both PS3 and Wii U. But who knows, I might play it again in the future.
Beyond: Two Souls however is a game I've been wanting to buy for a while now. I'm very glad to have waited now.
Outside of fun MP with friends with Rayman, I’m disappointed in this month. Quite so. Oh well.
I guess God finally answered my prayers 😂💀
@Mergatro1d Ideally yes but Heavy Rain is actually a preorder incentive for Detroit on the store so that's why they went with Beyond.
This is the only way I was ever going to get around to playing Beyond: Two Souls, so I'll put it on the to-do list
dunno if I'll bother downloading these this month, well better luck next time.
Hmmm. Own both PS4 titles already.
Rayman’s online competition is infested by cheaters which makes it virtually impossible to achieve the platinum in less than 6 months of daily online challenge completion. Don’t remember the exact amount of effort necessary as I have up on the online trophies a while ago.
Fingers crossed that we get different games in the Singapore Store, as offen is the case.
Ah, great. The last thing I wanted was a David Cage game. And I already have Legends, but it's a great game nontheless. Kind of a bummer month.
Nearly bought Beyond a few weeks ago so it's good to see it crop up here after I held off.
I've already got Beyond Two Souls. Pretty darn good.
Rayman games are not my cup of tea.
@adf86 oh ok, then that makes perfect sense! cheers
I have rayman legends...really good game and Im not the biggest platforming gamer. Those music levels are really enjoyable.
I have Risen on ps4... Elex and Gothic are much better games in my opinion but its a solid game. Solid pirate RPG.
I always wanted to try Beyond so im happy with that one.
@Spectra Rayman Legends is awesome!
Not a bad month at all! I've already played a bunch of Rayman Legends but will happily play it again. An excellent platformer.
As for Beyond: Two Souls, I might give it a play through. From what I'm told, it sounds absolutely bonkers.
Beyond: Two Souls is even dumber than Heavy Rain, but played even more seriously. If you're going to play it, I'd suggest playing the chapters in chronological order rather than in the mixed up order of the original game, although neither make much sense.
Rayman is radical and I would totally play it.
Another month where I've got the games already, sadly.
I have been waiting for Beyond Two Souls a long time. I got it in PS3 but after hear Nag the changes they made for the PS4 version have been waiting to play it.
Rayman Legends is probably my favorite 2D platform of all time, so I'm glad more people will be able to experience it.
Never did get around to playing Rayman!
@Flaming_Kaiser sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean... can you email me with more detailed info of what is happening? [email protected] thanks!
@Mergatro1d Heavy Rain is part of the deluxe edition digital version of Detroit $69 dollars That's why they did not include it in PSN PLUS
@antdickens Your site is a hot mess on every browser and device except chrome on PC...
On-topic: I'm absolutely going to download Rayman Legends, that game looks incredible.
I'll definitely be checking out Beyond: Two Souls, owned the PS3 version but never played it.
As for Rayman Legends I'll probably check it out eventually, no harm in grabbing it too.
@ReanSchwarzer7 Works fine for me. How is that it's only you that has the mysterious problems and no one else does??
@ReanSchwarzer7 I assume you are trying to make a joke with that statement as it's totally false and inaccurate. This website works fine in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Opera across Windows, Mac, iOS and Android which makes up 99.5%+ of our users. We don't support out of date browsers, which may your issue.
@antdickens Nope, dead serious the site is running like doggy doo on all of my mobile devices too. Android 5.0 Netpad, Android Phone, PS4, PSTV, Wii U. ANYTHING that is not a PC. Also there are minor to moderately severe issues on PC when using Firefox, Opera, Edge, and Safari.
@ReanSchwarzer7 we can ignore Wii U, PS4 and PSTV as they all run old browsers. Name some of these moderately servere issues your having on PC?
Ads overlapping important stuff like articles or the widgets on the right-hand part of the home page making it impossible to click links at times, oftentimes the comments section will fail to load in news articles, and I keep getting some error called nginx 401. It's becoming pretty annoying.
