Hooray, Vampyr has gone gold! It feels like we've been writing about Dontnod Entertainment's project for an eternity (it's been more than three years, actually), but the action role-playing game is finally ready to sink its fangs into PlayStation 4 next month.
Indeed, the title isn't far away at all, set to hit store shelves on the 5th June. Vampyr was originally due to launch in the latter part of 2017 before it was pushed back into spring 2018. As such, it's something of a relief to see that development seems to have progressed smoothly.
Will you be checking out Vampyr next month? Make some tough moral decisions in the comments section below.

getting this the moment it releases.
always love a good, dark fictional story in a historical setting.
and ofcourse vampires!
I will probably pick it up at some point, but not at launch. I have bought too many games at launch recently. Looking forward to seeing more of the game in the meantime.
@jdv95 Ha, exactly what you said...looking forward to playing this game 🧛♂️
Cool looking forward to this joint playa.word up son
Have loved the look of this since it was first announced. And being by Dontnod is a big bonus. Will definitely buy it but not sure about day one yet.
Please be good please be good please be good...
One of the games I am most hyped for this year.
hopefully this game gonna be good game.. not awful game or medicore game.. dang this game has gone gold while it coming out in 2 more weeks left
@jdv95 uh... ehem... vampyrs
If you are a prime member (NA) there is a coupon for pre-ordering. Currently price is $47.99
If you can kill pretty much anyone you want in the game and have the story unfold in an non-linear narrative, I'm sold! Fallout 4 really left me disappointed in that regard, lol.
I'll wait for reviews. The premise sounds great, but I'm not entirely convinced on the execution yet. I need to see more first.
@KirbyTheVampire With a name like that I'd expect you to jump right in.
I rarely pre-order. But even if the combat is not polished - I know this developer can write a story. It is a balance of course but a good narrative can cover up many gameplay flaws.
That is why The order was only so so - average gameplay and the story was... also average.
Is there gameplay for this?
I was interested in this like 10 years ago when they started making it lol but now the game is a bit under some shadows so I don't know many things about it...
@Juvenlast That much is true. Their stories are definitely very good. I'm confident that I'll like it, especially since vampires done well are much more interesting than something like yet another zombie apocalypse story IMO, but I still want to wait for reviews just to be safe.
Very much looking forward to Vampyr. My expectations for the gameplay are low, but i'll be pleasantly surprised if it's even half as fluid as Infamous or Soulsborne. Most of all I want the morality system to be meaningful to the character development. The protagonist is a doctor with generally good intentions, so I want to see both the subtle and the not-so-subtle distinctions between the goody two-shoes, morally ambiguous, and Count Douche-ula viewpoints, side characters and all.
Dontnod dontdisappoint.
I'll wait for a sale.
Looks very promising, will be picking this up for sure
Promising premise but i am worried about the execution based on what i have seen of the game so far. I have enjoyed dontnod's other outputs so i will stay optimistic but im not sold yet.
Hopefully this means the team can crack on with life is sfrange series 2 now
