It perhaps won’t come as a surprise in the wake of its staggering launch sales that God of War was the best-selling game on the PlayStation Store for the month of April. Kratos’ latest topped in both Europe and North America, beating out Far Cry 5 in both territories. Fellow exclusive MLB The Show 18 finished third in North America, but A Way Out took that accolade in Europe.
Elsewhere, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality topped the PlayStation VR charts on both sides of the pond, while Fortnite continues to be a sensation all around the world. You can view the latest PlayStation Store sales charts for Europe and North America through the respective links.

So I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing a sequel to this new 'Deity of Physical Conflict' game, then?
@Turismo4GT I think we might, y'know.
Is it really a surprise that Sony's 'BIG' release with arguably only Far Cry 5 in competition with it tops the sales chart for the month? I know Yakuza 6 also launched but that game hasn't traditionally sold well in the West. I guess A Way Out is quite a surprising 3rd in Europe.
Looking ahead to May, you wouldn't be surprised if GoW was again the top selling - although Detroit could knock it off IF it sells well in its opening week...
Meanwhile amazon is still not showing any new ps exclusives for preorder 🤦♂️
I love the game but does anyone else think that Kratos' nipple looks weird in the above pic? Just me? Ok then.
Glad it is doing so well, nipple issue notwithstanding.
Of course it sells the best.PlayStation best franchises ever is unstoppable.kratos the man.the icon the legend.god of war.word up son
@Rudy_Manchego O_O Hint: don't stare at the nips of digital male characters, that doesn't pay the bills.
@tulaib_100 Wont they feel stupid now. 😁
@playstation1995 Haha I dono man I think Last of Us 2 might knock it down to 2nd best franchise haha. Currently I can't call Last of Us a franchise since it's just one game. I'm 100% certain Last of Us 2 will be far surpass even the high bar set by GoW, but GoW has had time to build fans and Last of Us only had one game so I really doubt the fan base of Last of Us is even close to the fan base of GoW.
Spiderman could beat GoW in sales but that's not a franchise yet either, and I only think it has a chance to win outsell GoW because Spiderman is a more recognizable name. I have no expectation that Spiderman will be a better game than GoW. Though Spiderman looks awesome and I'm snagging that too.
@Turismo4GT Then you haven't seen Kratos's nips in 4K
