It feels like we’re in that calm period before the E3 2018 craziness begins in earnest. There’s going to be big game reveals over the next month or so, with Battlefield and Call of Duty all part of the schedule – and rumours are already starting to swirl about other unannounced projects. It means we’re about to get really busy, so thank heavens the release calendar is comparatively chill.

Well, I was hoping to get started on a couple of important reviews, but code hasn’t arrived yet so I guess I’m going to have to keep myself occupied with something else. I’m probably going to check out a bunch of PlayStation VR games that have been sitting on my hard drive waiting to be tried.

I'm almost scared to say it but I'll be playing some Fallout 4 again this weekend. Forgive me! I didn't think it would turn out like this! (I absolutely knew it would turn out like this!) I promise I'm not addicted again! (I'm totally addicted again!) I can stop anytime I like! (I really can't!)
Glen Fox, Guides Editor
Still playing Destiny 2, still creeping my way slowly to the power (light?) cap. Also digging into Conan: Exiles, which is way more addictive than it should be.
Stephen Tailby, Senior Staff Writer
I’ve been tasked with reviewing Laser League, the latest game from the makers of OlliOlli and Not a Hero. As the meat of the game is its frenetic online multiplayer, I want to give it a thorough test before I put pen to paper. Expect my verdict soon.
Liam Croft, Reviewer
This weekend is all about Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for me. I'm only a few hours in upon making it to Chapter 3, but I'm in love with pretty much everything about the game.

Since I am a sucker for an old school beat-‘em-up, I will be checking out Raging Justice with a couple of friends this weekend. For solo gaming I think I might jump back into Assassin's Creed Origins as I recently had the itch to return to Ancient Egypt.
That’s what we’re playing, but what about you fine folks? What are you playing this weekend? You know the drill in the comments section below.

Persona 5 along with my usual fighters. Street Fighter V, King of Fighters 14, and maybe Tekken 7. Still haven’t started Yakuza 6 unfortunately. Getting in a few games on Switch too.
I can't wait to play Persona 5 on new game +, but too much of a backlog and I started Nier Automata and trying to platinum HZD, keep running out of resources during the hunts and buggering up my timing!
Traipsing around the Boston wasteland looking for quests and finding trouble. This is my third playthrough overall and honestly it's still a blast.
Probably bouncing between God of War and Destiny 2. I finally got a certain gauntlet for Kratos, and i'm looking forward to testing it out on a valkyrie! In Destiny my friends and I got the exotic sword and sparrow and are now working towards the sleeper stimulant, although for me, I'm not getting the required parts needed from patrols/events for unlocking the crystals. Hopefully it's a fixable bug.....
Wolfenstein 2, The story keeps getting more crazy!
And Deus Ex.
An as s usual PES 2018
Just finished Last Guardian, which I loved.
My copy of Dragon's Crown Pro came today so I'll be booting that up for a bit. I've also really been enjoying Paladins. Feels so much better than it did when it released as a beta last year.
Other than that, on PC my WoW addiction continues.
Just got one more Valkyrie to beat in God of War (easier said then done!). Not sure if I'll go for the platinum as I've been meaning to get back to Yakuza 6.
Think I’m going to start a ps plus game either knack or Deus Ex. Not sure yet.
Still on my Final Fantasy games from last week (they take a while you know)
Still playing god of war, finally defeat the 8th v, but the v boss is too powerfull for my level 7 kratos, so back to story mission for me
Is there in-game clock in gow? I really want to know how long I've played this game.
Look, boy. Yet another week has passed!
In between watching the Villa play-off game (UTV!!) it’ll be more excellent God of War, maybe some Fortnite as I see what the fuss is about, Elder Scrolls Online which is great and the regular dose of Smite with the Pushsquare crew
mhw just finished ballooning problem taking my time doing hunting to craft better armor but the problem anjanath dont respawn in ancient forest anymore.
Just beat GoW ! What a masterpiece. Honestly don't know what to play next lol might get back to Monster Hunter: World been a while.
I've been a bit off games recently (3 weeks since I touched God of War, think I'll need to just start that again at this point!) but I have been playing bits of Driveclub which is still a lot of fun.
Had a gentle 12 mile bike ride in the rain this morning, warm shower, nice cup of tea and I might get back into Breath of the Wild now.
As usual.. happy weekend everyone!!
I'm knee-deep into Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on the Wii U now. Although I'll probably spend a bit more time with Yakuza 0 as well.
@gingerfrog I know it gets a lot of heat, but Deus Ex is a mighty fine game. No comment on Knack 😬
@Fight_Teza_Fight Tell me, having never played a game in the series. Is Yakuza 6 be a good place to start?
I started playing binary domain this week so I'll maybe finish that if I get time. I have to work this weekend sadly.
The Overwatch bug bit me again, so I'm mainly playing that! If anyone is trying to reach Master rank and wants to join be my guest!
I may also play a bit more of Yakuza 6! I'm thinking I should give Xcom 2 another chance too!
And of course, Fortnite!
Hitman! I’ve been neglecting my fighting games so Injustice 2, SF V and Guilty Gear xrd rev 2 are getting a go as well and I’m Looking to start Gravity Rush on the Vita.
God of War , again
God Of War will be taking up most of my time yet again, along with Beyond Two Souls which I'm really enjoying alot more than when I played it on the Ps3 years ago.
On the Switch i will be having a go at Tiny Metal which is good but hard.
@wiiware congrats on the Valkyrie slaying in GOW I have only just come across my first one and she slaughtered me about 10 times before I have up!lol
There is no in game clock unfortunately that I have found.First thing I did when I started playing.I'm surprised there I want for this kind of game but I've been timing my sessions...cuz I'm weird like that and so far I've done 21 hours.A big game and I've got loads left to do
Still playing God of War. I think I'm getting close to the end-game, though. I really don't want it to end. Might have to pick up another single player game soon, like Horizon or Shadow of the Colossus.
Pes 18 - I will beat the legendary difficulty trophy 0.1% (this is 100% my last week dedicated to this)
GoW - Love it!
Then that is it. Hopefullu next weekend I will have more news.
@LobsterJohnson It’s the supposed end of the Kiryu story so it’s probably not the best place to start. I only got into the series and I started with Yakuza 0.
I think most people would probably recommend newcomers to start with that one (Yakuza 0) or Kiwami (Y1).
Give it a shot! They’re great games!
Continuing with Tales of Zestiria. Must be fairly far into it now so I reckon it can be finished within the next week.
Playing RPGs back-to-back has given me an itch to play something short and nice to break things up a bit, so I think I'll start Virginia later and then move on to Ducktales on the PS3. I got the latter in a PSN sale years ago so feel it's probably time to get through my ancient digital backlog a bit!
@ShogunRok I knew you'd succumb! 😂
Replaying doom with 4k patch
Wipeout vr
Operation warcade vr
@Wazeddie22 Every v fight is kicking me so hard in this game, there's a couple of v fight that I skip until I've got enough upgrade lol
Going to get further with Shadow of the Colossus, play some more Hatsune Miku Future Tone, and might play a bit more of Legend of Zelda Link to the Past.
Nothing yet, but I'm planning to finally get back to playing more Batman: Arkham Knight after giving up time to play last weekend.
I'm giving my Vita some love with the Ratchet and Clank collection. I'm genuinly impressed at how well the original games hold up.
@Shepherd_Tallon
Mine came this morning, good old Shopto, the steel case in a thing of beauty.
I was about to start Gravity Rush 2 today but I have had my head turned by Dragons arriving, I am torn!
I might just persevere with Castlevania III on NES, I am close to beating if for the first time. I am looking to play all of the Castlevania titles, I beat one and two over the last three weeks and feel pretty chuffed, those games were super challenging. Cannot wait to play Symphony of the Night!
God of War
I wanna play God of War, but I only use Remote Play (taking care of my wife who had surgery) and I heard that some of the buttons are awkwardly mapped to the touchscreen. I wish there was some standard about games listing the Remote Play controls somewhere...I mean, most games don't have any info ANYWHERE, and YouTube personalities usually just say "it controls fine!" without actually going into detail LMAO.
Oh well....back to Street Fighter V! Gotta get my reflexes prepped for the upcoming 30th Anniversary Collection.
Super mega baseball 2, MLB the show 18 and an old game Lili!
Not a lot of gaming since I need to study for my university, but the time I get will be spent playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. So far a great game, although a little too similar to the first one. I decided to play it before God of War to be up to date when Shadow releases.
This week I finished ACIV: Black Flag, a great pirate game, but not a very good AC (take the piracy off and you're left with a kinda-bad copy of AC3), and the worst story in the series so far - no clue about who the characters are, what drives them... A shame, it had potential...
I felt like playing Suikoden 4 for the PS2 for god knows what reason.
It's an obviously flawed game but I still personally find it to be alright, certainly better than 5 in my eyes.
Managed to wrestle the PS4 away from the rest of my family to try the Dark Souls Remastered network test. Then I played some Parappa the Rapper, I'm not sure why, it just felt like the right thing to do. And it was!
@Expa0 I had a good time with Suikoden 4. I get why people don't like it, but I enjoyed it. I daren't go back to it though, I reckon it will have aged badly. I'd be interested to know how you get on if you decide to play it.
@Gremio108
I mean I've played it through once before, with the sole exception of Tactics I've played all of the entries in the series. I didn't get all the characters in 4 though so I guess that would be a good enough excuse to return to it, though I just felt like playing it for some reason and I played it for 4 hours straight today until I got to the deserted island and so far I'm having fun. I forgot how satisfying it was to see Snowe getting punched in the face twice.
My biggest cripes are the fact that you only get to control 4 party members at once (as opposed to 6 like in most of the series) and the bizarrely barren areas. The story and villains in particular are also a bit on the bland side.
God of war, story ended and im crushed . Will restart it i think.
Any of you guys on my friends list knows what I am playing very sporadically due to work Destiny
Bloodborne. I just finished Cainhurst, and I need to grind for the final boss. I think I’ve done all of the extra areas outside of the chalice dungeons.
I’m also playing Resident Evil 5 with a friend. It’s my first time with it, but’s a good game. Fun to play with a friend too.
@Expa0 I forgot about Snowe, he was a right plank. Yeah, the four party members thing was my biggest problem with it. There were some good characters (I liked Ornan!) but like you say, too many just don't linger in the memory, especially the bad guys. Hiram Barrows was an interesting character, but not really a baddie as such.
There's one character I want to mention but I'm not sure if you got them first time around, so I can't...
Like Ramsey, I'm playing more and more Fallout 4. I have played a lot of FPSs like Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, DOOM etc but I find myself enjoying Fallout 4's fps elements more than all those games combined, and it's not even strictly fps, good gracious! The lighting, detail on objects, those aforementioned games don't even come close to Fallout 4 in that aspect. So if you can't appreciate this gem because it's not the Fallout you want and think Bethesda is just going to brush aside their "most ambitious game" yet, and release the next Elder Scrolls then it's gonna be a long wait for you.
There are a few games this gen I keep coming back to after playing newer games, ie. GTA V and Fallout 4. No wonder they keep popping back up in the Top 10 sales charts.
God of war, and Owl Boy.
Owl boy is pretty darn good.
I've been destroying Ni No Kuni 2 this weekend, and now halfway through the last chapter. Its been a fun time
I finally got back into playing Batman: Arkham Knight, the controls are becoming natural now thankfully .
Still trying to save Oracle from Arkham Knight, keep getting distracted by side quests and DLC missions.
Beyond 2 souls on the ps4. Should finish this week. Enjoying it.
Football manager on the switch. Slowly getting addicted to the game.
Chaos;child on the ps vita. Good game. Probably take me 6 months to complete.
WRC 7, Gran Turismo Sport, and TT Isle of Man.
Probably some MotoGP 17 as well.
I haven't played Euro Truck 2 and American Truck in a while, and have an itch for it, so I might focus on that on Sunday. They are the perfect games to play while catching up to podcasts.
On the PS side, I've started most of the bunch I got on Big in Japan sale. Mostly fooling around the Versus mode in Dengeki Bunko now, but as far as story games and modes go, The Nonary Games dragged me in like a giant kraken. An awesome game with an indubitably grim but enticing plot. Two endings so far (both bad) and approaching another. Yeah, this flowchart thing is very useful.
Drive girls looks even more promising up close with the bunch of customization options it offers, even if there's not traditional leveling up in sight. Gal*Gun Double Peace promises a bunch of content as well (and tons of replayability, especially if you want to do all the side quests - the game is mercilessly true to its genre in some regards), but I already find myself looking forward to the Switch sequel with rumoured motion controls and... seriously, it's the first Vita game where the load times really raise my eyebrow.
On Chapter 8 of Ni No Kuni 2 but stopped for a bit and started World of Final Fantasy. still in two minds about it, to be honest.
