Here's an E3 rumour we bet you weren't expecting to read about. A curious website regarding SOCOM has cropped up, and it's counting down to what is likely to be Sony's E3 2018 press conference. That's all fine and well, but there are one or two things we're not so sure about.
Firstly, the webpage has the phrase "SOCOM IS DEAD" emblazoned across it, and Sony's not in the habit of drawing attention to IPs it hasn't mentioned for years. Secondly, we're unable to see who owns the domain; that information is blocked, leading us to believe the site belongs to a prankster.
Apparently, the site used to say, "SOCOM. Not just another battle royale", which again seems fishy. While we'd love to see the return of Sony's multiplayer shooter on PS4, everything about this website screams fake to us.
Would you like to see SOCOM appear at Sony's presser? What do you make of this website? Fire your thoughts into the comments below.

Could well be fake. But who knows? Website registrations have given things away many times before, so there's always a slim chance that maybe it's intentional.
SOCOM is dead and its Overrated
Socom 2 was my favorite ever game for PS2. And it introduced me to online gaming. Having it for PS4 would be unbelievable
