Creed: Rise to Glory PS4 PlayStation 4 PSVR 1

Boxing is a pretty brilliant fit for PlayStation VR, as the likeable Knockout League already demonstrated. Now it’s the turn of Sprint Vector developer Survios to tackle the fast-paced sport, with its movie spin-off Creed: Rise to Glory. Building upon the physically demanding systems that have defined the studio’s previous titles, this virtual reality release will see you assume the role of Adonis Creed, as you train with the legendary Rocky Balboa and make your name as the king of the ring.

But there’s more: exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version will be a bonus fight where you'll get to play as a young Rocky Balboa. “Creed: Rise to Glory features revolutionary Phantom Melee Technology for impactful melee combat VR,” wrote a vague Lauren Irvine on the PlayStation Blog. “Whether you choose to live out Creed’s story or set up your own Exhibition battles against a variety of skilled opponents, this makes you feel every punch, uppercut, and flurry.”

We’re big fans of Survios’ previous games, and we like a good boxing title, so we’re eager to check this out. The only problem we’ve had with past motion controlled fighting games is that it’s impossible to replicate the feel of your fists connected with another body, so we’ll be interested to see how the studio overcomes this issue. It made running on the spot exciting with the excellent Sprint Vector, so we have high hopes.
