The first real Warriors Orochi 4 details have hit the web thanks to Famitsu, with the publication revealing that the upcoming hack and slasher will boast 170 playable characters. For those who don't know, the Orochi series has always prided itself on having gigantic character rosters, but this is a new record.
As you'd expect, the title will feature characters from across both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. It'll also play host to a number of guest characters, although there's no word on who's made the cut just yet. Previously, the likes of Ryu Hayabusa of Ninja Gaiden and Kasumi of Dead or Alive played a part, so you can probably expect to see them again.
Warriors Orochi 4 is set to launch later this year on PlayStation 4, in both Japan and the West.

Nice! First news I heard of this game yet. I hope it will be as good as the last.
Fingers crossed that it won’t be open world, won’t have 4 weapons across all playable characters and will be a worthy sequel 🤞🏻

@darkswabber Based on what we know so far it won't be open world — it's using the standard Warriors engine and not the one that Dynasty Warriors 9 used.
Probably add in some of the All-Stars characters, William is a done deal I think. But yes, give me. Love the Orochi series.

I used to love the Dynasty/Warriors games. Think I stopped playing them at 7. I imagine there will be quite a few Ken/Ryu characters in this bunch.
@Optimusultimus at least in the predecessor they were no clones.
