As teased earlier in the month, Ikaruga will finally make its PlayStation debut on 29th June. The legendary shmup will set you back $9.99, and will support 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro. It’s a port of the PC edition, so you can expect all of the bonus features that made their way into that release – including screen rotation if you want to put your television in portrait position.
Amazingly, despite its popularity since debuting in 2001, the polarity-switching scroller has never launched on a PlayStation platform before.

Day One. I think I have the Dreamcast version from Japan.
But 4K Pro support on my main TV with a Sony controller? Hell yeah!
Looking forward to playing co-op with my son. Nice price too...

I'm gonna need a higher ceiling.
Back when this game came out, CRT TVs were still the thing.
They were really heavy even at normal sizes, like 27" for example.
I remember alot of stories about people accidentally breaking their TVs by rotating for vertical play and then not securing it properly.
Good news. The PC port is solid!
Sounds like it will be an awesome ps plus Game down the road
@GamerDad66 I remember I used to play Ikaruga connecting my GC to an old Philips monitor because my TV were to heavy for me! The only other solution was to play it horizontaly while laying on a sofa but that was hard!!! XD
@get2sammyb Any plans to review the PS4 port?
